  • Thank Lord Jesus for the cross! You are so worthy of honor and praise! May You forever be exalted in the highest place in heaven! Thank You for Your blood and the eternal love that You have for us! Thank You for calling us as Your own! I love You!

  • thank yu kayla ;)

  • @g12lloyd7 it really is worth listening :D

  • I can only imagine how we will one day stand before HIM and be able to sing praise and worship to our King!! Praise God!

  • I'm a muslim, i love this song

  • @TheSunny11cool I think it is wonderful that even though you are Muslim, you feel the freedom to come, share and worship through the beauty of this song. God bless you. :-)

  • @mskbaj73 thank you and same to you :).

  • i lstened to this while eating cereal. best bowl of cereal ive ever had

  • God sent Jesus for our sins because He loves us that much. He has given this gift to us. all we have to do is accept it. God don't have to be rational or explainable. He is the Almighty and unexplainable beyond any human mind. We need to stop trying to put Him in a little box and assume He is like us. He is the creator, and our Lord and Savior whether you accept it or not. He is who He is regardless. just accept the gift and rejoice in the fact that He loves us that much!

  • Your god killed his son to satisfy his anger at the sinfulness of humanity.

Doesn't that sound rather primitive and vindictive to you?

  • @SamWiseGingy

Would you agree that God is perfect and man is not?

This is the basis on which what God did to Jesus makes sense, but, if you cannot agree with this, then the cross will always be an offense to you, and never a blessing.

When you can agree, the cross actually reveals God's kindness and mercy towards us.

Hope this starts to make more sense to you soon.

  • @firetrapper1

So blood sacrifices make sense to you.

Just how does one reason with a person who thinks blood sacrifices are rational?

  • @SamWiseGingy

I'll admit, it's not something I would have thought up myself, but then again neither is forgiveneness!

What about your thought on God's perfection and our imperfection?

You did not answer this one, and as I said before, it's the foundation upon which all the other concepts in any discussion like this have to be built upon, if they are ever to get anywhere, and make any real sense...

  • @firetrapper1

What if your god doesn't exist? What if you are just falling into a guilt trip designed by the ancients to keep you dependent on them?

Without applying reason to your faith you have no way of knowing if it is true or the product of human imagination.

  • @SamWiseGingy

Well, once you have accepted you are guilty, then you are able to accept the good news of God's rescue plan from guilt and shame. It's ironic really - the only way to be free from guilt is to admit that you are guilty, and then ask Jesus to cover that guilt which you have just confessed!

So I feel free from guilt now, as opposed to being under a guilt trip.

What about you? You seem to be ducking the main question...

  • @firetrapper1

Actually you are on a guilt trip. Your faith tells you you're guilty and your faith tells you need your faith to deal with your guilt.

  • @firetrapper1

That what I ought to have done and what I did are and have been are two different things, that I freely confess.

That it follows from that I have a debt to your invisible friend I don't accept.

That it follows that I deserve an eternity of punishment I don't accept.

That you and other believers have anyway of knowing about an "afterlife" I reject.

Now explain to me how blood sacrifices to please a deity is rational.

    Thank you.

  • @SamWiseGingy

Well, it's not really rational that God would pay our debts, by sending His own son to be a blood sacrifice for our sins, in our place.

That a perfect man, Jesus, would choose to be punished, so that sinful men, like you and me, could go free, is not rational, you're right!

  • @firetrapper1 Is it rational for you believe this story? Does this story have any more rational appeal to you than Jack and the Bean Stock?

  • @firetrapper1

So then explain how killing one person does another person any good without reciting your myth.

  • @SamWiseGingy

I don't think I can really explain it any more than I have tried to so far, Sam. I hope God gives you some grace to understand it better soon. You could try reading the book of Romans in the bible? Or Galatians? That's a bit shorter and less hard hitting, really. All the best, anyway!

  • @firetrapper1

    Conclusion, this believer is irrational.

  • @SamWiseGingy I know you will be reluctant to believe this, and that I'm replying to a comment you made 3 months ago, but you should understand that God didn't kill Jesus. You have to understand that Jesus, the son of God, chose to die. It was a choice, not a murder. The prophesies in the old testament foretold the choice that Jesus would make, but nothing was forced upon Jesus. The trinity doesn't operate by chain of command, only the love of a perfect relationship filled with selflessness.

  • Thus human sacrifice was demanded, made and received. Your god was satisfied by human blood. If that doesn't sound like a crazy god to you then have lost all critical sense when it comes to faith and religion, as most believers have indeed done through the brain washing you put yourselves through with songs like these.

  • @firetrapper1

As a matter of fact the Bible says nothing about how killing one benefits another except as atonement for sin. That brings us back to an god that is satisfied with a blood sacrifice.

  • @SamWiseGingy Hi. There are other non-blood sacrifice type of atonement theories. I, like yourself, don't believe that God wants blood sacrifices nor required one from Jesus. JC was revolting against sinful humanity, and we didn't like that so we killed him. Things like Christus Victor models, or other non-violent models might make more sense to you if you want to check them out. But I suspect you don't...

  • @firetrapper1

Isaiah 53: 10 Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the LORD makes his life an offering for sin,

he will see his offspring and prolong his days,

Rev 5:11 “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

The whole tone of scripture is that God the Father willed that God the Son die for humanity and God the Son complied.

  • i love it

  • ooohhh and i though that was a song...OMG...

  • Praise you Jesus and you are my redeemer and you can restore my life forever and ever

  • I think of my dear friend and worship leader Ian Ruddell every time I hear this song. He battled a brain tumour for many years before the Lord called him to his eternal reward, exactly 5 years ago today!!!!

  • wow..... its amazzzing....

  • Jesus is alive today and has a living voice, you don't have to wait for His physical return to hear His voice and to Know Him in the Spirit. He died to send the Holy Ghost back to lead, guide and teach us. Seek for Him in the Spirit not in the history book (bible). The BIBLE is the MARK of the BEAST!

  • @BIBLEisMARKofBEAST

I cannot agree with you on this. The beast is not in the slightest bit helpful, and the bible helps us to understand the mind of God, and its existence is in fact the reason why you know the good stuff which you started off by saying...

  • @firetrapper1 When Jesus died on the cross the veil in the temple was rent in twain and a way was made into the Holy place where the oracles of God are. So are you telling me that Jesus died on the cross, shed His blood so I could enter into the holiest of holies and read the bible??

You realize don't you that when you are reading the bible you are in your flesh mind? Flesh and blood shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Don't fight as one that beats the air. The bible is the mark of the beast.

  • @BIBLEisMARKofBEAST

That's not really what I am saying, no.

I am saying that the only way we know anything useful about approaching God comes from the bible.

You are using lots of religious words, language and concepts from the bible in your arguments. Why so, if it is 'of the beast?'

  • @firetrapper1 Saul had all the scriptures including what Jesus had taught from the gospels although not recorded yet. He had heard all the stories about Jesus because Jesus came to the Jews. With all this prophecy and information, he did not believe, he was persecuting Christians. Then one day with letters from the High Priest, a light shined on him and he met Jesus. This is what you need. To meet the Living Jesus Christ. Then you will understand better. THE BIBLE IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST.

  • @BIBLEisMARKofBEAST

I agree that we all need to encounter Jesus, the living Word of God. This is the most important thing. However, I would say that He never spoke against the scriptures the way that you are doing. so your bible 'bashing' is not being done in the spirit of Jesus. Which spirit do you think it might be being done in?

  • @firetrapper1 With the bible, there is the catholic church, Baptists, Pentecostals, Mormons, Jehovah witnesses, snake handlers and Hitler was a roman catholic, David Koresh was 7th Adventist, Mormons caused the mountain meadows massacre, Jim Jones was Pentecostal, Jimmy Swaggart was Assembly of God. These were all bible worshipers including Ted Haggard (homo) president of 30 million evangelicals. Satan can use the bible. You can't have fellowship with a book. Seek for the Holy Ghost.
