  • You idiots buying foreign cars is why americans haven't recieved a raise in 5 years.

Standard of living idiots. Its going down the shitter, just like the quality of your imports.

  • The Toyota bashing is blatant BS. Other manufacturers like GM and Ford have issues that are totally unreported(but that, were they Toyota make wall to wall media circus).

I have not figured out why yet, just protectionism? Market manipulation(is anyone shorting Toyota before each round of media basing?), Japan government punishment, bullying or intimidation? something to do with currency? I dont know.

  • its going to squeez out all of main st juice and eat what left after that,..

  • JUST READ THE ... GM recall and then see that at the end of the video. comical.

  • LOL

  • CLEARLY WE HAVE SEEN CONSUMER confidence up and down like the markets. interesting we have a sell off in JANUARY and then bad CC numbers. does the consumer drive the markets or are consumers consumed by the markets? im thinking the latter is the case. bad markets = low consumer confidence. these stupid markets are feature on the TELE every night.

  • Made in occupied Japan...

Not so long ago they were bombing and killing Americans, and not so long ago we were dropping nuclear bombs on their cities - not too many ww2 vets would be caught dead driving a toyota...

  • I'm an American who LOVES Toyotas. you are right - they are just using Toyota as a distraction. But the truth is, the Obama administration's real goal is not to bash the Japanese, but to justify taking over yet another business. They are setting the stage right now - it's happening with all kinds of businesses here right now. The socialist takeover will work best if the best and most successful businesses are destroyed or taken over. Toyota builds most of the cars driven in America right here.

  • glad to see you are awake. Most people are sadly not.

when you awake a whole new world presents itself infront of you.

  • @flutestar51

" The socialist takeover will work"

Hum, imo when you get free health care, free education up to university, debt-free housing, 5 weeks vacations for all workers, calling it socialism will start making a bit of sense, but until then since working people being robbed out of trillions by elite bankers does not really fit socialism, I would have to agree with Ron Paul on this one when he said what we see is "Corporatism" (a corporate cartel running the state and rigging everything)

  • i have driven nothing but toyotas for twenty years use and abuse them never have a problem will never drive any other car or truck !!!

  • Toyota -- As I commented on another channel: To me it's a cheap ploy to try to make Toyota into some sort of villian to steer people towards domestic cars. American car makers have had numerous recalls over the years which involved dangerous situations and loss of life. You're right -- it's just pathetic and to me, the intentions behind this witch hunt are clear as glass.

  • still short the EURO.....will be interesting action in the market Thursday.

  • Very true this deal with TOYOTA is BS how many recalls on other cars kill people.

  • i find it funny that a japanese CEO takes shame if he bankrupts a company or things go bad...they many even take their own life from the shame.

Our nations just confidently go screaming to the government for more money, and sweep it under the rug then go back to their condo in the bahamas like nothing happened....CLASSIC!!

  • That's because in Asian countries, honor is everything. To lose face -- for one's self, family, or country -- is to lose everything.

  • Japans government owns much of toyota and honda. They also only allow very limited amount of none domestic cars to be sold in there country. Wake up.

  • Toyota lies cover up,fraud pay offs, shame on the government ours and theirs. Fools would only support this company. Come out of the fog

  • The President didn't even say he was sorry for all the people Killed over Safety? He didn't even have to take the Oath and swear to tell truth! You're talking about George Bush, Right?...... So why does Bush not take oath but ToYoda does? So what Citizen Safety Issues went full throttle after 911? This Inquistion by senators is a Joke when they let BUSH off the hook. Its all for show, right Senators?

  • I have owned several Toyota, both new and second hand, they are great cars.

  • My husband I only drive Fords now (and have for a decade or two). BUT -- I had a little '78 Toyota Corolla in college and it was the most reliable, low maintainence transportation I've ever had.

  • Now that the United States ownes GM.

The USA /Obama is going to crucify

    Japan over Toyota recall.

Obama will beat this drum long after the issue is resolved.

  • I think the average joe watches his job evaporate (and those of his family and friends), sees imports increase while domestic manufacturing (jobs) decrease, and then makes a simple conclusion - foreign "bad", domestic "good". So we will probably see some protectionism. Very poitically useful. I've owned US, Japanese, and German cars - enjoyed them all. With our current economy, I can't afford any of them as new or slightly used. Maybe my next ratcar will be a '91 corolla..

  • what has given toyota the advantage in the past was that their cars were very reliable, while many american car buyers felt like they got a 20k pos that didnt even last 100k miles.

there were many american 'Recalls' over the years that were never even reported to the CAR OWNERS let alone the national press.

  • @VeritasAmantesVocat but there is a bigger problem, so far 30 deaths have been linked to dodgy toyota's

  • Fom the Center for Auto Safety Website: "The side saddle fuel tank design installed in all 1973-87 General Motors full-size pickups and cab-chassis trucks is the worst auto crash fire defect in the history of the U.S. Department of

Transportation. Based on data from the Fatality Analysis Reporting System

(formerly known as the Fatal Accident Reporting System), over 1,800 people

were killed in fire crashes involving these trucks from 1973 through 2000.

This is just one example. . .

  • People should know that

Japanese LOBBY only for their people & their companies, like Toyota.

    They don't care about victims.

    Proof:

200,000 Asian women (even 10-year old girls) & female Allied Nation prisoners were gang raped by Japanese.

Japanese are LOBBYING to many nations to teach in their history books that

    the victims were VOLUNTEERED PROSTITUTES

who received higher salary than Japanese army generals.

    Many victims are still alive.

Japanese are LOBBYING that to many nations.

  • US is NOT making a fuss over nothing.

34 people died because of Toyota.

#1 importer of Toyota is US, so majority of complaints are from US.

Sudden acceleration is happening in other nations, too.

Their own records say that Japanese knew this problem & have been hiding this since 2000.

They lobbied to minimize the number of recall vehicles to save money.

Even their own report says that they should celebrate themselves for saving at least $100 million by lobbying.

  • @KimInLosAngeles I agree. This problem is big. I remember Ford got sued for hundreds of million in America when one person died of a faulty design. So a quick figure is a 3 billion lawsuit, and the fact they had 2000 complaints makes this a very nasty situation.

  • @banksy35

Nice to find someone who agrees!

    My father has a Camly.

He said his car accelerated for no reason for few seconds several years ago.

Anyway, I hope you are well-prepared for coming economic collapse.

    Best wishes to you!

  • Obama wants the world to love us,

Then the government goes and acts like the biggest bully on the block to give their GM an advantage?

    Disgusting!!!

But, now is a good time to buy a Toyota.

  • "to give their GM an advantage"

Ding Ding Ding -- you got it right. Right on the money . I am just amazed that people do not see this.

  • @Michigansnowpony I disagree, I think the problem is a big one. cars not doing basic functions like accelerating and braking and causing the accident. I have not seen something like this from a Japanese company before. Good for you if you think its a government scam, but I think Toyota are in real trouble over this one.

  • Because it is Toyota that's why they have admitted the mistake. If it was GM they never would have admitted any faults. So much for Toyota's honesty! Thats the difference Asian and American culture.

Greedy American corporations now shamelessly making money on Toyota's fault. And that is what is taught in the USA from childhood. Greedy lots.

  • Toyota Is to good for Americans They need china made junk. I believe it is the computer being jammed by all the sound wave junk we have. cell phones , radar , home land security junk to scan us and our cars. How about everything we don't Know about that they are testing.

  • wait until the cellgate card is played.

  • I guy is in jail for driving a toyota and he said that the car unexpectedly accelerated. They didnt believe him and he is currently in serving 7 years. Toyota knew of this problem and boasted that they saved money by not recalling the defect. I would never buy a toyota!

  • I'd rather drive a mazda, I think toyota interiors are plain jane.

  • I have a Toyota, and I will continue to buy Toyota

  • All of Toyota's "problems" have been know in multiple countries for an extensive amount of time. Solutions were being sought and implemented as well.

The US(thievery division) has held this info in their hand of cards and is now playing it as a distraction for the People is needed, AGAIN as thievery continues. This ship is going down with average americans watching below deck, on TV.

  • that was my thought.

just another play on the sheeple

  • yup....one crumb on top of the apple pie if you know what i mean.

  • Yea, the trade wars have only just begun.

  • Its like the financial collapse thats never going to happen.

  • yea standing on this cliff is starting to get annoying.

  • From this point on, Toyota quality control will be the best it's ever been. I'm in the maket for a new car soon and guess what... I'm buying a Toyota.

The US is doing this because they want/need people to stop buying quality foreign cars and start buying GM and Ford.

Toyota and Honda make the most reliable cars that have ever existed. I currently own a '97 Honda Civic and I love it.

  • I think that the market and commodities are down because the dollar is up.

It seems like volatility from foreigners seeking safety in the dollar, then pulling out, is one of the main drivers behind the changes we are seeing these days.

Otherwise, why would the stock market and gold move together so much of the time? Shouldn't they tend to move opposite each other?

  • The hysteria by the American MSM borders on idiocy..They had footage on ABC news of a test driver trying to turn off a push button start Lexus while it was in gear and moving. ABC news claimed it was a PROBLEM. I even figured out it was DESIGNED that way so a 2 year old or an adult American driver couldn't "accidently" shut off the car while hurtling down the road at 65mph. Total Smear campaign underway by the USMSM. Look for some financial ju jitsu form Japan soon.

  • as an american, i can't stand to watch TV and see what the politicians and Wall Street are trying to distract us with. i didn't know there were Toyota hearings until reading about it. after the headaches of unreliable Chevy cars from the 70's and 80's, I've driven Japanese models since and won't look back.

  • thanks for such a good commentary. It's sad that we have to hear somebody from Australia for normal point of view. our Congress is so horribly corrupt.

  • ta,

my views are for the people who know what is really goin on out there....no matter what country you are from it doesn't matter!!

  • You want average American?

"idiots should have bought Americans vs being unpatriotic"

That's what the general feel that I see.

I basically agree with what you are saying. Protectionism.

Lets copy the mistakes we made during the Great Depression, WOO HOO!!

  • From America, I'm defending Japan. I HATE Obama. I detest him. The consumers are going to suffer.

Nobody's buying this bullshit except the UAW people and i'm ready to write naked puts on GM, just to fuck Obama over.

Japan didn't deserve this, Toyota customers did not deserve this. But I bet you that Toyota takes the Chinese market over GM.

  • Gm is wasting $1000 per car trying to get people to change. Because Toyota has proved beyond reasonable doubt that Toyotas keep going.

Look at the toyota prius, it just keeps going and going and going and going and going fuck, it would be nice if the brakes actually worked on them. at the least the old shitbox chevs stop.

  • Americans are buying Hondas and Nissans now until Toyota gets back to number one. American politicians are shameless and the people know it. The shameless politicians will be voted out of office in the November 2010 election.

  • @TonyUnplugged

Japanese companies bail eachother out when they're in trouble. here when a company intentionally screws up and commits fraud, like our derivative dealers... the taxpayers are forced to bail them out.

The con artist derivative dealers should've been placed under greater scrutiny by our judicial branch. How is Toyota getting more scrutiny than these corrupt bankers?

No business matters should even be handled by our legislators.

  • As an American, I'm not embarassed because I didn't for Mr. Change, but I do think it's primarily driven by its political popularity and the fact that the U.S. govenrment essentially owns GM and is trying to see to it that both GM and Chrysler don't go under. What better way to do that than to dogpile on top of the #1 car maker in the world and major competitor? Your volume still sucks... Love the vids though.

  • Bernanke will tell whatever lies it takes to support false optimism in the markets.

As for Toyota, it is clear and very embarrassing (like everything else that comes out of the Obama camp) that Toyota and the Japanese are being used as a scapegoat. Obama has to support Government Motors, so their execs can continue to pull down huge salaries and bonuses.

And then we have the "Health Care" ambush on Thursday... All of this will affect the markets, and not well, I fear. ='[.]'=

  • on the money again myspace.

Great stuff. Toyota are probably going to get back at us somehow.

Keep up the great work you do. Loved your last newsletter.!!!!

  • thanks for watching and subscribing.

  • remember how they refused to buy our beef?

  • i still wouldn't buy a government motors car.. screw GM and Chrysler....

  • Agreed, our cars have had plenty of problems, we have no place to throw stones.

  • I see it all the same way

  • it is interesting that we are bashing toyota at a time that Japan has become the biggest holder of Treasuries....if i were them id show my appreciation by sending some dolars home to roost

  • very good comment.

what is up there sleeve....hmmmm yes!!

  • i totally agree.. the US is loving this.. the japanese won't forget this easily. it is all about distraction. things are going to get very interesting.

  • totally the japs are very smart, and patriotic, and have a good memory.

They think differently to many other nations.

  • I've lived in Japan, i was actually born there. These "culture flaws" Congressmen are citing are totally false.

Japanese people are intolerant of imperfection in themselves. They don't hide mistakes to "save face'. When a Japanese CEO bankrupts his company, he commits suicide. When an American CEO commits massive fraud and destroys the finance sector, he bribes Congress to steal from the taxpayers to bail him out.

i want to let others know that many Americans disagree with Congress.

  • toyota...out of control

  • Id buy a toyota tomorrow...i think they make a superior product...i wish i could buy one ...id do a Youtube commercial for them
