This is great! I really like this poem. My dad just has an obsession with it! Whenever he hears it he repeats it in full character for a month! Well recited, well done.
I really like this. You delineate the characters well, and your voice adds unexpected color and profound emotions when I don't expect them. Inspired and most entertaining!
I'm touched. I must shoot a better version some time. i.e. not on web cam. Infact, I may do a grand version for my A-level in film studies... Humm, not a bad idea, that :D

lewis carroll is gibberish and garbage. he was a pedophile who hung out with young girls. look it up. i like having fun with language but you don't see me writing shitty books.
That's prolly cuz u can't write. same here. Well, that and I don't like producing any shitty works. Lucky for us people like Lewis Carroll are out there to do it for us.
i can write. see how i fabricated a hatred for lewis carol. you bought it like a chump. i hit you on an emotional, visceral level that compelled you to respond. i hope you use this whole experience as a means to develop some of your own writing.
I'm not sure if you used a thesarus to write that or not, but still, I admit, impressive. Very nice choice of words. Although you could've used a better word that chump. something fancier. But, to make things clear, do u loathe Lewis Carroll or was that a facade to initiate responses?
One of the better readings to be sure (better than mine). The more I think about it though, the more I think the father's voice shouldn't sound like the wicked witch of the west. Though, when I recite it I do the same thing.
Well, he's warning the quester at the beginning, so it's right he's a bit dramatic and scary. At the end he's a much more friendly 'witch', when he knows the Jabberwocky is gone. Works for me, but thanks for the thoughtful comment :)
I think worried would be better. "Beware the Jabberwock!" isn't a warning exactly, it's a plea to be safe. Also at the end the shift from wicked witch scary to wicked witch happy never works. And making it sound scary at the first, makes the into seem like the intro guy controls the beasts, and is warning him away to some other end than caring about the quester's safty.
You might be right about the plea to be safe, but it's still a warning. For dramatic reasons you need to put some danger in so the Jabberwock has some menace when it arrives. What does everyone else think?
Worry can do that fairly well. Would I be worried about it if it wasn't deadly. And you can do that in the lead up to boot. The suspense kind of suggests it. To each his own, most of it is gibberish and suppose to be that way. The impressive part of the poem is what others bring to it.
Wow! What an animated reading. I loved it. If your kids (if you have them) get a story/reading like that every night before bed, then they're very lucky children indeed.
Nice. Love this poem. So inventive!

It's easy. Just keep re-reading it aloud over and over, til it sticks. I learnt it at school too (I was 15, I think) and it never went away :)

I like it, most other videos about "Big J"(as I call the Jabberwocky) arent just the poem itself.

I can't find any video of people singing this. My sister sang this for Girl Choir and I can't find a video of it.
