  • I found this video a couple months ago when I was going through a really rough time. You give some really wise advice, I was having trouble accepting myself as well, but I've been finding it much more lately. Thanks for giving me direction when I needed it

  • I assume the age get lower each year, but the average age for sex reassignment surgery is estimated to be over 50 years old

  • Well I accept you. And yes I know I don't know anything about you. But you also know nothing about me.

  • I hope you will. Be strong. I don't know who you are but I give you my support from France. Be who you are no matter what people say. It doen'st matter. I wish you strong, courage, peace, and LOVE

  • Eloquently put, sound advice. :)

  • I write this as someone who is beyond the age of even thinking about transition. But even at this stage as I have discovered my feminine self I have discovered great joy in that experience. I can't display it but I can feel the reality of it and that becomes a measure of great joy of acknowledging it and the happiness it gives me.

  • Not to late many start transistion when they are 60 years old. So don't feel like age should stop if you need to do it.

    All love from me Jasmine

  • Thanks your words are right on the money.

To this end of self acceptance I would like to share a triad of very powerful easty to learn self help tools which considerably lighten the load,

  • For me, I feel my self acceptance comes with my self-content. Whatever obsticles, I really want to live the life I felt I need & should.

    Bring it on, society!!

You may have cracked some people like an egg, but my will is more like a diamond!..A nice, pure, shining diamond.

great vid btw. :) Chows, friends! *hugs*

  • I totally agree..My gender issues almost pushed me to suicide, but I've now started to see the right people and I've started to get myself ready to transition...I think coming to terms with my transsexuality was the most important part. I love your videos, please keep it up! :)

  • Dig the best Advice I could ever give anyone is, Love yourself for who you are!, Great Video Series Charlotte!!

  • Beautiful and powerful statement for everyone..

  • rgank you your grate iam to start transition and be full time but its scary

  • I want to sound female, do you think you could make a video helping your fellow transsexual have a female voice? I would be so grateful. I've also seen CandiFLA's videos on having a female voice, but i don't know if it will work for me. How do *you* do it???

  • I've agonized over whether to do a public voice video or not and I am not sure. I mean I think it would be great, but some people may not want to know what my voice actually sounds like normally.

  • Well i mean you are so open about your sexuality/identity, i just thought it would be great, because no offnse to candiFLA, but i personally feel that her videos are more of "show-offie" videos, rather than really training me... but alright if you say so..

  • Nono she is a sweetie and a great personal friend.

  • oh i know, i am just saying that it's just hard to learn from them, and their needs to be more people like her to make those videos. she is very nice

  • You are so hard to listen to all the way through your messages not because you are boring or annoying or anything but because your voice is so pleasant and methodical it lulls me right to sleep. I love how pleasant and open and intelligent you are! Girl, you rock!

  • Thanks for this video, it is great to have someone ,with such strong character, to talk about their experience and insight. After 36 long years, I know that if I don't accept myself, and do what I need to, there is no future. Your video on fear also addresses this issue. A lot of people are in the same boat as me and will be helped by your videos. Thank You.

  • Good Video Babe!!!

  • Totally OT, but you are really pretty and have a great way of communicating with your eyes.

  • Charlotte..... that is so true....The question is how to accept yourself better if you don't? Any ideas? I would love to see a video on what you think of our community and depression. Do you ever suffer from it? You always look so serene and upbeat.

    Love your videos:)

  • Charlotte,

    Good morning Hon....

As always very well spoken words of wisdom...

Hopefully someone in transition felling they have low self esteem will listen to your words and absorb them....lift themselves up.

    Hugs Hon...

    Paula

  • Thanks for the intuitive vlog, Charlotte...it really helps

    :)

  • Self acceptance is necessary before one can embark on any journey and be successful. Without love for yourself no love will come to you.

  • I think your right, self-acceptance is the most important thing is anyone's life, at the end of the day we are the one's that have to live in this body wether we like the body or not. Your video's are so 100% dead on Charlotte! ever consider being a therapist? :-)

And as usual you have such a lovely smile at the end of your video :)

  • I have always been interested in Psychology and human behavior..so much so that I learned hypnosis lol. I however would take problems home with me.

  • Well, you have the personality, intelligence and compassion for it sis if you ever want to go into it. ^_^

Say, do you mind if I link this on a forum that I occasionally visit?

    *hugs!*

  • Anyone can link my vids anytime

  • Oh I see, I guess your really empathetic? that's not a bad thing though, I've always been fascinated by human behavior also its still a mystery after all we 'think' we know.

  • Yup I feel bad for people a lot. I have recently been able to curb it but its the reason I can't have people in my life who are up and down constantly.

  • That's true ^^

But how do you work on it though?

  • Ethereal, I think that one way to work on self-acceptance is to not compare yourself to others and to realize that what is right for others may or may not be right for you and that is ok!

I know your question was for Charlotte, but I thought I'd chime in.

    ;)

  • For me personally what worked was to build confidence. The way I stop negative things from getting to me is I make my day a game so to speak. If someone looks at me instead of freaking out I find it funny lol. It changes the meaning of the negative and builds inner strength which translates into acceptance.

  • Very well placed advice and bit of it which I could use. ^^

I was never confident in myself nor anything I do and always been afraid of failure. However, the obstacle here is overcoming fear itself in order to become confident... The fear of both failure and consequences, and the fear of society...[/rambling]

Keep them coming, this is turning out to become a very well made series. <3

  • Great video, sweetheart. :)

  • You're probably well-tired of hearing it but, another beautiful, insightful and well-done video Charlotte. Though it is topical for your target audience, it is applicable to everyone. The lack of self-acceptance and the pursuit of facades makes for unhappy and unfulfilled people and wastes a lot of time. Thanks again.

  • I love Charlotte. You're so beautiful! :-)

  • no truer words were ever spoken, self acceptance is very very important. Insecurity is such a big part of the transgender life. Even though this series dosn't pertain to me im really enjoying it. The work you are doing is great and insightfull

  • Thanks again Charlotte for another insightful video. I need to work on this part, but I think I have came along way.

    CP

Are we going to get to see you making music in another video :)

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TOUCHING ON THIS TOPIC!!! You = scholar, hehe.

  • i love the cheesy music

  • I think another important component of self-acceptance is to be able to admit that you are a transsexual man or woman, and that "perfect" is unattainable. We are what we are. It's not a happy thing frequently, but the alternative path of constantly running away from what we are only leads to more pain.

  • Perfect is unattainable, but I don't know if the label of TS or not matters. While I identify with it on Youtube in real life I just go by girl.

  • Perfect is TOTALLY attainable! OMG! I mean, look at ME! ((sarcasm)) ;)
