I remember opening this game on christmas night and was so exited I went straight to playing it all night it was actually my favorite video game of my early childhood along with Mario bros and mega man 2!!! And yes I had a nes in about 1999 ( when I was born ) and a psone and a VCR and thats it! No cable or n64, nothing!! Man those days were fun!!!

This game reminds me of what playing a video game as a kid was like. I never understood what I was doing, had no clue what the story was about, but I enjoyed the games because I got the gist of what a game was. All I needed was some of my favorite characters and the feeling that I was accomplishing something, even if I didn't know what it was i was accomplishing.

I did enjoy this game playing it as a young and innocent sheltered child, but now that i look at it, i do have to agree with you, i do miss ren and stimpy and roko's modern life and so many of the other things of the past, and that modern day cartoons are so bland and censored that no imagination is used to make them, its the same used cliches and plots over and over and over, anything went in the 90's, and i swear i heard Ren say shit one time, but these days what do little kids get , cgi crap

@y2k4ever1 i agree with you there CGi id just not the way to go with cartoons and frankly most are terrible. but i think those are mostly with very early kid cartoons, like pbs kids, fox kids, and nick jr. if you switch over to cartoon network or nick must of it it is actually some pretty good looking hand-drawn cartoons like johnny test and the pokemon anime (which looks gorgeous now and has vastly improved the voice acting) they even have great live-action shows like icarly

The cartoons on nickelodeon are so terrible now its astounding. Even the more recent episodes of spongebob, the only show on nick in the last decade where the creators seem to put actual effort into making it is terrible now as well. They are trying so hard to emulate Ren & Stimpy that they might as well open up the show with a smooth jazz song.

yeah in my opinion the cartoons of the 70s and earlier had a ton of charm and class then when they got to the 80s they all were just about selling toys and promoting life lessons and education and then the 90s were like balls to the wall anything goes cause they let a lot of shit past those censors and re-watching them today its hilarious and as for cartoons today they are overly censored to the point of stupidity and they are for the most part bland and unimaginative

Funny thing you first mentionned the Ghostbusters and Transformers first, because IDW Publishing's Infestation almost-a-crossover event does just that, except replace "Ninja Turtles and He-Man" with "Star Trek TOS and Cobra from G.I. Joe" and "Dimension X, ghosts, Decepticons and Skeletor" with "Zombies (except for the G.I. Joe segment, they get a corrupt AI virus instead), guest-starring Stay Puft and Galvatron".
