somehow controversial because the kinks wanted to say with "people take pictures of each other" and "picture book" that you can only take one little consecution of your life with a photograph, but not the feelings and impressions, didn't they?

what's not the original? The song? Or the commercial? This is the 1 minute webspot. The TV spot was different. The song though is the Kinks version from "Village Green Preservation Society" not a coverband.
