Fantasy means "something made up" What you just said would be like saying "Why do people assume vampires suck blood off people's necks? why do they assume they will die from being impaled through the heart by wood?" Why care about what kind of ammo will most effectively kill a fantasy creature? It doesn't matter! It's simply up to the story teller.

@TheBeairdManCometh well, to do that you would need a lot of money. Dragon's breath costs $130 for a 25 round package plus a dangerous materials tax of $25 per package. Flechette is $90 for 25. Strung Buck is $65. There are some that I did not mention, but it doesn't matter. This shit is expensive and to have a stockpile would be a true waste of money.
