Ya, it's awesome having my dad be a pilot for a major airline. He helped me a lot with my private pilots license when i was in training for it, and just getting to know everything related to aviation. It's funny, because now I know more than him about certain airlines...some he has never evern heard of before!

yeah no offense to anyone but southwest is the worst airline by far, they don't offer any service on board expect some cheesy jokes and a bag of unsalted peanuts, and yet their fares are about the same as a major carrier!

THANK YOU! You my friend are exactly right! SW is such a joke. The only reason they made money in the past was because they bought a bunch of oil at really low prices, and then oil shot way up to like $160 a barrel while they were only paying around 45$....now they have run out of that oil they had previously bought and thats why they turned out their first loss in what? 17 years? SW is going downhill fast.

Totally agree didn't know about their little reduction on oil but whatever happened and with the ever expanding technologies offered onboard no one is going to want to fly southwest.

Ya, and everyone is going crazy because southwest is finally here, yet, they only fly to MDW from MSP so whats all the hype about? And NW along with AA, and UA are matching their fares completely.

They fly into MDW for now but pretty soon new routes are going to open up. Besides, MDW serves many routes to everywhere else in the country. ;)
