GM should have licensed the use of their technology to Youngman and Pang Da so Saab could have survived. What an absolute disgrace and shame. Saab should have lived. Shame on GM's decision to deny an ailing former brand the opputinity to attain the aid it so desperately needed.

BEAUTIFUL! However, also way over priced! The sticker needs to be about 10K-12K less and the negotiated sell price should end up around 33K-36K on the top of the line model. The only way Saab can begin to sell more cars here in the USA is by being more competitive in terms of price and by advertising more. They need to stop trying to compete with the likes of Audi, Cadillac and Volvo and market themselves as an alternative option to Jeep, GM, Ford and Chevrolet.

Hopefully, SAAB will have the opportunity to be SAAB again by purifying itself of GMness. This report shows that concept loud and clear. 20 years ago it didn't exist when SAAB dusted off the German makes in a highly unique and distinctice characteristic way in an addictive and ingratiating way.

I think it's too late for SAAB to try to realize anything. They won't be around much longer. They're fate will be decided by a Swedish court next week and it looks like one word will define it: liquidation.

This is a nice vehicle but like all Saabs it's WAAAAY over priced! No way this vehicle should be priced any higher than the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited which is loaded as far as options and lists for $38,000. The 9-4X should be listing at the same price $38,000 and should sell for an average of $35,000. Saab needs to stop trying to compete with Audi and BMW. This is why Sab is barely breathing!

It makes no sense to buy any Saab as they are on the verge of bankruptcy. At least with GM, under the Govt. bailout and bankruptcy, cars from GM divisions that were jettisoned such as Pontiac and Saturn, the warranties were guaranteed to be covered by the "new" GM.

Everyone knows that saab is almost at the end of the road, But alot of people don't want to see saab go, but there buying cars like audi's BMW's mercedes, Lexus ,etc. Saab may not be the best but they aren't the worst. So buy saab! They'll have better models if you buy them!

@TJC450 Good, because of GM, Saab is in the poor state that it's in. I own a 2008 9-3, did you know the stereo in my car is the exact same out of a $15k Chevy Cobalt? I hate GM, I'm ashamed the government bailed them out. Now they are selling America out to the Chinese with our own tax dollars.

@TurboFuss1 ALL GM vehciles have the same audio system across the board. From chevy to cadillac. Back in 2002 Corvette owners complained about the cavalier having the same stereo deck and sound system, which GM soon made its own stereo deck specially made for the Corvette
