i am not joking there is only 1 tournament every year so ive only been in 2 my first 1 i had only been in it for a few months and only on my 3 rank out of 11 kids i got 2 place in kata and kumite and got 3 place in kata this year and my sensei says that im one of his best students hes had o and my bros are both 3rd degree black belts and they are 13-15 years old

@TheSteems the 9 yr old had been in it for 4yrs and both of my bros have been in it for 9 yrs there is no time limit to getting a belt in our dojo in our dojo if you know your stuff within a couple months you get your next rank, if you dont it takes you longer, i picked it up quickly as did my friend

@ikcjjtt Yep karate is USA is just lame kids jumping and trying to show what they can. Real karate is an art that you master in years and black belt actually is just called "First Step". Does your school have meditation before and after trainings? That really helps to get ready for the training.
@theczechart it depends what martial art you are doing, like taekwondo it doesn't take much time to advance (no offense but its true to all you tkd-ers) but in things like ninjutsu it takes years (i hope i don't sound stupid and amateur)
yea most schools do give out black belts to young kids, and many schools just test ppl every month because they like charging $150 A person or more, but those students are the ones who suffer esp. if they enter tournaments. Any good traditional school takes time between each belt (year or more) and def waits untill the person has trained many many years before being allowed to test for first degree. shit my old school you had to travel to japan to test for your 2nd Dan in front of the masters

You can get a black belt when you're young, you just have to train at a mcdojo. Not that there's anything wrong with them, but belts don't mean much at those commercial dojos.
yes popstarfromhel is right, in most schools with belt ranking systems you can get childrens advanced (usually brown or maybe black depending on school) junior black belt (14 yrs old) intermediate black belt (16 yrs old) and 1st degree black belt (18 +). Im sure the young girl you saw was NOT a first degree or even an intermediate black belt
That might be just your club but you can get black belts at 12 and 13 years old. Some clubs have age limits, mine does, the young ones have sashes up to about 14 then they can go for adult belts, but some of my friends were black belts in karate at 15

Orange belt is typically the 3rd color rank, after white and yellow. Colors are usually going from lightest to darkest. In old times, it was simply a white belt getting stained and over time getting darker, showing experience. Then a black one was granted to the advanced. So colored ranks are often white, yellow, orange, green, purple, blue, and brown. Red is usually a master rank, depending on the style.

what kind of drink ? truth is , the spacers used in the breaks are old vagabond tricks . however , breaking a stack is still equal to breaking about one or two bricks without spacers . it just causes a domino effect and that's the illusion . the real purpose of that is really hand conditioning , or bone conditioning . dudes would break boards . it's not supposed to be for show , but some put an illusion behind it , and it becomes one.

First dan black belt means a person is ready to start learning some deeper teachings.
In Japan there are many 1st and 2nd degree black belts in every art who are teenagers.
But really - a belt is only good for holding up pants. Building character and heart is the real goal.

if it your legs, try tae kwon doe or kick boxing
if it's arms, try jiu justu or boxing
if you're all round, i would use muay thai or kung fu

what kind of drink ? truth is , the spacers used in the breaks are old vagabond tricks . however , breaking a stack is still equal to breaking about one or two bricks without spacers . it just causes a domino effect and that's the illusion . the real purpose of that is really hand conditioning , or bone conditioning . dudes would break boards . it's not supposed to be for show , but some put an illusion behind it , and it becomes one.
