  • 1:27 greatest alley pop in NBA history

    Bryant TO SHAQ!

  • THE GLORY DAYS! :D

    LAKERS4LIFE

  • Goddamn portland, damnit sheed....

  • 6:37

You cannot be serious. That's not a foul?

  • "BRYANT!!!!!

    TO SHAQ!!!!!!

From the brink of elimination to the beginning of arguably the most dominating Laker dynasty of all time!!

  • WOW. that moment when shaq slam dunks, that was the beginning and the end for the nba for about 10 years.

  • Wallace SHOULD HAVE 4 RINGS!

    2000 GAME 7 UP 15 IN THE 4TH

    2004 BEAT LAKERS IN WIN

2005 GAME 7 LOSE TO SPURS ( HIS FAULT FOR LEAVING HORRY OPEN)

2010 GAME 7 LOSE TO LAKERS in FINALS!

  • I'll never forget jumping up and down going crazy when Kobe alley ooped that ball to Shaq. If I could attend any game in Lakers history it would easily be this one

  • Typical of the NBA this era. Had that foul been by Michael Olowakandi on Kobe Bryant then Michael would have been tossed, but instead it was by Shaq on Steve Smith and the refs were there to make sure LA won.

  • that play at 1:30 was just freaking insane!

  • that alley oop stil gives me chills!! LA all the way!

  • 1:27 will never in my life forget this moment. ive always had a special attachment to this laker group because i was only 7 when this happened and this was the first time i ever truly followed the lakers and knew what was going on. i had always watched them but this was the first season i understood everything and this will always go down as my all time favorite laker moment

  • 0:09 the pa was playing distracting noises while wallace was shooting free throws you cant do that unbelievable the blazers didnt notice

  • the greatest comeback...in the history....of the ....nba....

  • Pippen's ankles were never the same after that game.

  • steve smith was fouled

  • Man I remember this like it was yesterday. I was 18 and it was the week before I graduated high school. I thought the Lakers were done for, but they went on this incredible run and Portland went cold. One of the best 7-Game series I've seen in my lifetime.

  • @TheRatedIX7 dude that was the same way i felt about Game 7 vs the Celtics. It was almost the same.

  • Icy Hot! For pain!

  • Anyone who talks crap on Laker fans needs to watch this game. Staples went insane after that ally oop.

  • Soo Michael Jordan Called Harper but didn't call pippen....lol

  • There were 666 comments before I wrote this, I just needed to change the number. LOL

  • dam! lakers missed ALOT of free throws this game!

  • That three by shred at 3:17 is so reminiscent of the three he hit in game 7 of 2010 NBA finals in the last minutes

  • I imagine it's the same when a Redsox fan watches footage of "Buckner". The equivelent.

  • I will say this though, being a diehard Blazer fan like I am, that was quite an epic dunk at 1:30. Nice moment for you guys. That's what sports are all about.

  • Are you sure this is Staples and not the Rose Garden? Phony ass Laker fans. Can't hear you now.

  • Nothing caps an amazing basketball moment like a slo-mo replay with the "NBA on NBC" jingle playing in the background.

  • Bill Laimbeer's elbow is the reason why Scottie Pippen's nose is so flat.

  • go right to 1:28 - that alley oop from kobe to shaq summarized their time together in terms of winning. it produced 3 rings for a reason. when i saw that play, i was pissed. i knew it was all over.

  • All of that referee bull crap doesnt matter. If you want to talk about fouls, shaq was fouled much more times than called and if fouls were assessed correctly the starting center opposing shaq would be fouled out by the first half.

  • 7 people are portland fans

  • bryant to shag man didnt you guys just love hearing that

  • LOL....PLS go to 3:43. After Wallace drains that huge bomb, he tries to find his balance.

  • Damn this was when the NBA was great not like today. I mean look at how stacked that both teams are. This was back when teams had deep squads. That Blazers bench is better than most teams starting line ups today.

  • @calicormi Thank G*D you mentioned this. You call this greatness, Laker fans? Look at the fixed Sacramento series the year or two after.

  • @Trinidadian125 kids like you come to the greatest laker moments in time to try to talk fans outta enjoying there greatness. are you going to tell bulls fans that there title vs the jazz doesnt count cause michael pushed off for that final game winner and it wasnt called. only a dirty island rat would make that case go suck your dads dick after he fucks your ass when u have recently takin a shit and didnt whipe(chili dog)

  • 3:20 LMAOO 10 years in a game 7(celtics) and Rasheed still cutting the lead to 3

  • Why can't staples be like this anymore? Oh yeah, the new generation of hollywood rejects....sigh. :(

  • the crowds were ALOT better back then.

  • 1:25 Kobe's alley-oop to Shaq, such a surprise that all that Bob Costas could say was "TO SHAQ!" to end the call

  • 1:00 into the video.....watch Kobe break that punk Pippen's knees with the crossover. No one on those Bulls teams amounted to cr@p without / after Jordan.

  • NBA ON NBC THE BEST !

  • I've Been A Lakers Fan Since I Was Born , Im Only 16 Now , & I Remember Watching All The Lakers Games & I Just Wanna Say THESE WERE THE GLORY DAYS !

Im Still A Lakers Fan , But The Lakers Of Now , Have Nothing On These Lakers .

  • Wow, this crowd was really loud for this game!

  • I remember when those two enjoyed playing together.

  • its sad looking at the lakers crowds these days compared to this, too many rich bandwagon fans who just go to the game to be seen rather than to watch the basketball

  • The Shaq no call on Steve Smith at the end was crazy

  • @BrentWoodSean38 yeah i know and ticky tack fouls also

  • I dont even think the modern Laker crowd even cheers this loud during one of kobes game winning shots or even during the past two finals victories. Just look how the Lakers crowd erupts in the Shaq and Kobe era!

  • LOL Sheed, BALL DONT LIE :D

  • FROM THE BRINK OF ELIMINATION TO THE BRINK OF THE NBA FINALS

  • One of the greatest, or worst depending upon your POV;-), collapses in NBA history.

  • For all the Kobe haters who said he road Shaqs tail to 3 titles need to watch this video! He hit two big free throws, a clutch jumper and the crossover on one of the greatest defenders in Pippen which resulted in the assist to Shaq!!!! Not to mention the lockdown defense on both Pip and Steve Smith!!! Shaq needed Kobe just as much as Kobe needed Shaq!!!

  • @MastaBarba81 he didn't need Kobe "just as much", that's where your wrong

  • Why'd they foul Harper with 33sec left? Just play good D and its a 1 possession game

  • @wally000world I was wondering thew same thing.

  • Gotta love Bob Costas/NBA on NBC!!!!!! Bryant 2 SHAQ!!!!!! Bob was excited!!!!!

  • Wow...so MJ called Harper for a pre-game speach but not Pippen???

  • @mightybedbugs They're actually really loud and rowdy up there, but they're too far up to be seen and heard.

  • @mightybedbugs The real Lakers fans you see in this video can be found up in the 300s section

  • Lol, it's fucking absurd that 50 seconds of game play takes ten minutes

  • imagine playing in that arena with that atmosphere at 1:30 like WOW that is so intimidating

  • God damn. I have not seen the Staples center like that since the moment at 1:30. That was a true home crowd there. Fucking awesome! Laker fans these days is like a "who is the most bulimic bitch contest". Staples center has been reduced to a "place to be seen" rather than a place to watch great basketball. What happened to the real Lakers fans that exist in this video?

  • @mightybedbugs the recession...

  • @mightybedbugs still here bro...hollywood dont pay us

  • @mightybedbugs straight up dude. games back then and games now are not the same at all. fans were legit back then, but they suck now.

  • @mightybedbugs Most of these Laker fans have become spoiled and take winning for granted. It was twelve years since they won a championship. The city was hungry for a winner. I agree though, that was the loudest I have heard Staples. It has never been that loud since.

  • @mightybedbugs i may b wrong, but how about the time Kobe hit the game winner against the Suns in the '06 playoffs? but ur rite, Staples Center has become more of a sideshow than a place 2 enjoy some great Laker basketball

  • @mightybedbugs real fans cannot afford basketball tickets. it's the celebrities who go there just to be seen and further remain relevant in the public spotlight. it's a safer way than to get caught with drugs or OD on them or make a racist rant like kramer from seinfeld and end up on TMZ

  • @mightybedbugs the tickets got expensive.

  • @mightybedbugs While I agree with some of what you said I think it has more to do with the fact that the Lakers hadn't been to the finals since '91 and hadn't won since '89 (besides coming back down by 15) is what had them going crazy. I'm sure that when "we" win again this season, if there is a season, they will go crazy especially if the owners and players agree to the "axe one bad contract's plan"!

  • @mightybedbugs You have to remember that ABC (because they suck) lowers the crowd noise for their broadcasts. A friend of mine went to game 7 vs the Celtics. He said the place was a madhouse.

  • kobe was 21 here. WOW. thats my age now lolz

  • I loved the 1:30 mark of this video. Even today I get teary-eyed from that moment!

There's nothing like laying the Hammer down on your Opponent at Home.

  • That is easy to say AFTER he misses

  • Bob Costas sucks.

  • Bob Costas sucks.

  • NBA please open the lights again for the lakers. give the clippers the dark arena.

  • @MrAznPillow. LOL Yeah I notcied that too how Staples in 2000 seems like a bigger version of Great Western Forum and today it seems like a darken part of a Hollywood movie set.

  • @JZ2001JC yeah haha my friend told me they wanted to make it different for the lakers and clippers. but i seriously want to see the laker crowd errupt again. it's the most beautiful thing in the world. especially when they all wear gold :D

  • Steve Smith carried, get outta here. check it 6:55

  • Christ, what a choke job!

  • No Kobe Bryant - No Laker Championships.

  • Bob Costas please come back.

  • i miss the jailblazers

  • sheed chokd!!!

  • lol at young mike dunleavy jr behind portland's bench

  • The anti-Lakers bias of these pig broadcasters was really amazing.

  • 1:29 was the greatest moment of Shaq's career, yet he didn't even give Kobalt five after that spectacular assist.

  • @Jitpring

    look at 1:45

  • @Herpsteen My bad. Didn't see that. Thanks. But I meant immediately after as he passed Kobe by.

  • I swear when Shaq dunked that I could hear him yelling "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

  • Comment removed

  • Blazers were full of stars.

  • I KNEW IT. The fact that the Blazers blew their lead is irrelevant. They still had a chance to win the game if it weren't for the ref's PURPOSELY BLOW CALL, a very important call they let go. FUCKING RIGGED.

  • Or hasn't been THAT loud since that season...w/e

  • I'm sorry but Staples hasn't been loud since THAT day.

  • @ThaShark316 Nonsense.

  • Which game 7 is more popular. LA@SAC 2002 or POR@LA 2000. I still think LA@SAC was more popular

  • @toofresh91 They were both fixed by the refs though so who cares.

  • composure !

  • dick babetta is inmortal???

  • People that try to act like Kobe was JUST a sidekick to Shaq during the 3 championships should watch games like this again

  • all caps makes you look like a jackass. so does not calling a blatant foul on Shaq with 32 on the clock. still think the zers should have won at least two titles with this team.

  • Pippen All the way........................!

  • check out phil's reaction at 2:35 lol...

  • lakers own the western conf. since '00....7 conf titles, 5 world championships the most dominating team in the tough west....mavs, kings, blazers, spurs, denver, utah all these teams have bow down (well spurs got 4 so they could bow their heads only) but the lakers have been the most dominating team in the league the last 11 years

  • i miss how loud staples center used to be back then. its so much more subdued now. its really kind of sad. :(

  • BIG foul on shaq....

  • to steve smith: WHY WHY WOULD YOU RUN UP FOR A LAYUP SHOOT THE MOFUKING BALL!!!

  • that Shaq dunk gives me goose bumps all ova!!!!

  • BRYANT to SHAQ....NBA on NBC tune= the good days

  • kobe to shaq.. epic. you will not see another dominant tandem like this one for another million years.

  • kobe with long hair

  • god iiwuhz onlii a lone 10 yr old whyte/mexiican kiid iin s.central wen diihz an tha 2 aftr iit hapend an iit onlii seemz juhz lyk a yr ago.. luhvd tha lakerz siince iiwuhz 4. alwaez hav. alwaez wiil.

  • I was 8 years old, but I remember this like it was yesterday.

  • wny in the world did pippen foul harper at about 32.9? they're only down three affter the Rasheed Walllace 3 pointer. If they stop them and it goes to the full 24 seconds plus 1 or 2 for rebounding, ur left with 6 seconds and a bunch of weapons for a three for the tie. u can stop the clock, great, but stop the clock AND igive lakers chance to put more points on?????

  • @rdurrani429 Assuming the Lakers don't make a basket, and they don't get fouled while attemping a shot.

  • best game in NBA history

  • That cross over Kobe puts on Pippen is amazing. Even though Pippen was 34 at this point, you're talking about one of the best on ball defenders of that generation and Kobe makes him look foolish.

  • @Ninety2q Not only was Pippen 34 but the league also changed the way a player could defend the ball handler. This season was actually the 1st season they began the no-handchecking period. The way hand-checking was called was fully interpreted in the 04-05 season. Pippen got crossed nasty but this 2000 season was the beginning of today's no hand-checking era.

  • @Ninety2q Ive always said, damn if you look at that historic play again, Kobe crosses the shit out of Pippen lol.

  • Rasheed Wallace is a real enemy of the lakers

2000 NBA WCF lakers-blazers (lakers win series 4-3)

2004 NBA Finals lakers-pistons (pistons win NBA champs)

2010 NBA Finals lakers-celtics (lakers win NBA Champs)

  • Blazers had a sick stacked team those years...

  • @greekmonstervt91 That's what people will say when the Miami Heat lose in the finals 2010/2011 with a sick stacked team :)

  • Kobe crossed the sh!t outta pippen!!

  • Man.. Rasheed Wallace luvs that last min three pointers...lol.. I mean, when the lakers were up by 6 against boston last year he cut the lead in half with one...I didn't know he did it with the blazers too...lol

Hey Sheed....sucks to be you right now...hahahah( besides the millions)

  • comeback from 3-1 imao

  • I remember seeing 1:30 live and just running around the house in complete joy. probably my fav laker moment of all time

  • @brandonreal33 who are you calling a dumbass? that's a 6x champion you're referring to. do you realize that?

  • The crowds were so "good" at this point because NBC didn't quiet crowd noise, like ABC does today.

  • @stephl349 Is this true? Do they do this?

  • @Hoopfanify Yes, ABC quiets it. Not quite sure why. But it really is a shame, because it makes crowds like these impossible to find today.

  • haha gives me the chills when shaq gets the oop from kobe. good times good times

  • OMG! Bryant played well late in the 4 quarter with Shaq!

  • @Berghammervoll It was amazing to me and my friends as well when we were watching this unfold. An uncanny maturity.

  • Bryant...to Shaq!

  • God I miss Bill Walton.

  • NBA on NBC..

  • I'm glad Rasheed Wallace won the 2005 championship with the pistons. He's one of my favorite players.

  • @Zito420 he wonda 2004 title, spurs won da 05 title

  • @tbone24100

Woulda won it in 05 if he didn't leave Robert Horry wide open in Game 5

  • Unfortunately in this last decade with all the reality tv stuff going on, we have more celebs at the games in the lower bowl. They are more concerned on how they look and to be seen than actually being a fan and making noise.

  • I love how all the floor and maintenance workers go crazy at the timeout too lol

  • That was the most obvious foul ever. Refs always favor the Lakers

  • @nishanth01 The refs swallowed their whistle on that play because it was Shaq vs Smith, they went with a no-call in favor of the reigning MVP. Remind you of anyone? *cough* Lebron *cough*. Anyone who watched this games knows that the Blazers' massive choke job in the 4th is to blame. The refs did not make them go 1/14.

  • @swingingfordearlife I'm not blaming it on the refs. The only game that was really messed up was game 6 of Kings vs Lakers, I think. That was pure bullshit! The Blazers just didn't put as much effort as the Lakers in the final 10 minutes.

  • ....back in the days when basketball was not played in the dark at staples center

  • @Hstylezx408 Why did they start doing that anyway?? Part of the watching experience is seeing how hype the crowd is!

  • still tryin to figure out y da blazers didnt win a championship dat year i mean da lakers did have a good team but if u have pippen wallace sabonis j oneal steve smith stodimire wells b grant and a foren guy shit who could yu not loose

  • Rasheed must love the taste of game 7 defeats

  • @SGVknarf Yeah, Rasheed probably does love the taste of Game 7 defeats, but he also loves the taste of whipping the Lakers Ass in the Finals in only 5 Games, 4-1!!!

  • @lishsc3 Yeah once and 6 years ago.

  • He also loves getting bitched out 3-0 by the Lakers too.

  • @SGVknarf i agree. blazers lost to lakers in game 7. spurs beat the pistons in 2005 finals in game 7. and lakers beat the celtics last season

  • @SGVknarf lol i know 2000 game7 vs Lakers 2003 Game 7 vs Dallas 2005 Game 7 vs Spurs N 2010 Game 7 vs Lakers

  • @SGVknarf yeah, he got his revenge on the lakers with the pistons though.

  • @SGVknarf ...true, at least he showed up though...most of the other blazers POOF, disappeared

  • @SGVknarf And the last one sent him to retirement. LOL

  • ever

  • 41.3 laker top 20 moment

  • @coocanyonrider That was the Exclamation Point!

  • Shaq has put an exclamation point on the 2000 Western Conference Finals with his slam at 1:31 of this video!

  • foul on Steve Smith 6:40!!! Bill Walton: That could be the season right there!!!

Ten years after: Game 7 Celtics....

  • Lakers dont cheat...We woop that ass!

  • The Blazers choked BIG time in this one. No bad calls or bullshit like that. They played terrible in the 4th quarter.

  • When Ron Ron hit his 3 with 1:02 left in Game 7 vs the Loston Celtrics this year...was the loudest it's ever been in Staples.

  • @MaxwellHammer05 NO way, this was way louder! It was the year 2000!

  • @MaxwellHammer05 No I'm pretty sure this was the loudest.

  • whenever the lakers win people say the game was fixed but any other team, the refs were definitely fair. this recent finals had horrible officiating for both teams

  • this game was fixed

  • @moneyman237952 chillout

  • @slugga29 fuck you mean chillout? The blazers were cheated out of this game. How would you feel?

  • @moneyman237952 They were cheated out of this game? Heh but yet I never heard any of the blazers bitch and whine about their loss in ANY interview like you. You lose you suck that shit up

  • @slugga29 even tim donaghy admited that the refs cheated to let the lakers back in this game. The lakers should have lost this series and the one against sacramento. They have two titles in there that they don't deserve.

  • @moneyman237952 dude just let it go.. donaghy admitted scandals in 05-06 and 06-07... not 99-00. The Blazers just flat out lost. Well as for the Sacramento series the Kings could have took a 3-1 lead in the series if DIVAC didn't slap the ball directly to Robert Horry for a wide open 3.....
