Man, it always surprises me how much Gilmour made Pink Floyd, it is though Waters was an after thought but, in reality it took both of them. I grew up with them, followed their work right from the beginning. :-)

I am now 69 and this music was in when I was in my thirties. I never went to a concert, thinking it was a waste of money, better spent buying an album. Of course, I didn't have much money then raising two kids alone. Now I can see that the sensation of being in a crowd with the visual and audio so clear and striking, it would have been an awesome experience. Maybe yet I will go to one someday.

I love Pink Floyd. In all honestly though, let's face it...David Gilmour's and Roger Water's performances are nothing without eachother. Roger's effects are beyond amazing...David's musicality is mind-blowing. I'm going to the Roger Water's concert in May at the Key Arena in Seattle, but I just wish Gilmour would be there. Still remember the sixties...I saw Pink Floyd in the early stages of life in Brussels Belgium and the Cavern in Liverpool...Mick Jaeger, Brian Jones, Paul McCartney, Ringo, John was there and it was Yoko Onno 18th birthday. What about that? They had a little Hammond organ that they were shaking like an egg to get the reverb tank to bang around like thunder...hilarious. They certainly did grow up since !
