  • i like how he said that it was way heavier than any of the swords used by people as if theres a race of sword wielding giants terrorizing the countryside

  • I almost cried when you killed the beer.

  • That was really cool. You should make alot more video like this. =)

  • epic, how he go all of them.

  • would it be possible to make a battle scythe. Kinda like Dante's

  • @887Bingo Search "the flick-scythe; Mikes average customers"

  • giving this man a gun..........

  • @michaelcthulu Can you make Silent Hill's Pyramid Head's sword? Haha

  • SOMBODY's gonna survive the zombie apocolypse!

  • I would never pour out beer. Not even to put out a grass fire.

    -Hank Hill

Cool sword tho. Very post apocalyptic.

  • do you ship to holland? my birthday is in 19 days :)

  • 0:40 spiralled beer xD

  • sweet, where can i get one

  • You missed that fat dude running by! Easy target!

  • Haha, and here I've been thinking you were super tall! Now I'm happy. I've been worried that all these swords would dwarf me, but if you're an inch shorter than me, then I'm no longer worried. What a relief. :)

  • 0.52 to 0.58

Tennis has ball boys. WE have BEER CAN BOYS

  • if you want to draw it easier from your back

1:Position the sword so that the end of the scabbard is sticking out from your left(can be done with your right hand by pulling the handle down toward your shoulder)

2:with your left hand and pull down the scabbard as far as you can

3:draw the sword out with your right hand

its easier this way because you draw half the sword by way No.2 and finish it with No.3 this is best suited for katana's but should work for straight swords as well :D

  • I see how you used Rebar for the handle. Very, VERY nice and cheap idea!

  • @Rokko8652 And the pommel was a slice out of an old sledgehammer head!

  • @michaelcthulhu how much for a sword

  • if i sent you a drawing of a sword i remember from my dreams, would you make it?

  • Just for everyone's reference, Mike is right about this thing being heavy. He makes this sword look smaller than it really is. I'm only an inch shorter than he is and when the sword is stood vertically it comes up to the middle of my neck. It is absolutely a two-handed weapon; wielding it in one hand is impossible.

  • ever think of making a mace / war hammer? battle axe? if u made 1 of them it would be bad ass. :)

  • @zonzar27 If someone pays me.

  • u ever think of making a pair of daggers, or a mace (2 handed mace that is), or a war hammer possibly? i think if u made a mace id be bad ass

  • @michaelcthulhu

    Ah, I didn't see that.

  • holy shit i'm bigger than a viking! not saying you're a viking if you aren't

  • "way heavier than, um, any of the swords used by... people..." hehe

  • You sir, never cease to amaze me with your weaponsmithing skills and your swordmanship. :) Have you ever thought of trying to make a battle ax? I love those things...

  • thats really good man :)

  • Were those soda cans or plastic bottles?

  • very nice! how long did this one take you, if i may ask, including scabbard?

  • @EarlRapseg I ordered it in... I think February of this year and he finished it last month (June), so about 4 months. It's one hell of a piee of work.

  • Soda lovers everywhere cry.

    Awesome of course.

    How tall are you anyway?

  • How tall ARE you exactly?

  • Handles are important. People take note.

  • do u do viking swords

  • that's pretty sick

  • @michaelcthulhu Oh I know I was just asking because I'm stalled on a project of my own and momentarily though I could push it off on you. Never mind, I need to do it myself.

  • You do helmets?

  • that slow mo shot was awesome

  • Oh, and uh... your aim has improved! Nice swings there, hehe. (Now the sword is gonna smell like beer, haha, everyone's gonna think I'm drunk when I stab them)

  • @Jimaera so you plan a stabbing spree.... well I spose it had to happen someday... I don't exactly vet my customers... Anyway, it smells like WD40 now. I love that stuff, it's magical

PS, you may want to invest in some dubyadee and a scotch bright pad (one for metal like) if you want to perform similar antics to the ones above (and still have a clean sword).

  • @michaelcthulhu Yeah, I have some choji oil that I use for my other swords, I think I'm gonna see how it does for this. It sure as hell ain't a katana but it's still carbon steel, so I think that should do pretty well. Taking my whetstones to this may be going a bit to far, haha, but I'll definitely keep it clean.

    The choji oil is nice, it keeps blades really clean and it's scented with cloves, haha, so people will get to smell a nice fragrance as they die...? >_>;

  • @Jimaera I think the blade will be easier to sharpen out of the harness, and I'd recommend needle files for sharpening. Hmmm.... I think WD and needle files will work better if the blade has been used/abused a lot, but the traditional stuff will probably work better for light cleaning (like if you leave the thing in a shed for six months and it turns bright red, I'd recommend using the WD and Scotch Brite and needle files.)

  • @michaelcthulhu Yeah, the choji oil is just to protect the blade from rust, it's not for actual cleaning. Files are a lot faster and easier to use than whetstones anyway; and whetstones are generally better for Eastern-style swords where you need to be careful not to kill your edge geometry, they sharpen by buffing rather than actually removing layers of metal.

  • :D COOL !!!!

  • Dude... thank you again for going through the hell that was making that scabbard :/ Somehow I doubt I'm taller than you, but don't worry, I'm used to dealing with stairs while armed. XD Looks awesome, can't wait for it to get here!

  • That sword is a beautiful work of art.

  • what were u cutting ?

  • sweet more cutting stuff

  • Also, what song is this?

  • @ZachCraft The Song Is Called: The Man With The Harmonica...

  • Very nice! Poor beer.... but Very nice!

  • also hope you arn't using beer! unless its really crap beer then I'll forgive ^^

  • @JaunisDravin was beer that got frozen.

  • SUPER VIKING

  • Ohh really cool ! wish I could hang out with you for a day :P
