This song is my absolute favorite from the series. I tend to like most of the climactic battle music in most games, visual novels, etc. but this song is an exception. Such a simple song, but still able to evoke the emotion of a sad reminiscent memory is something special. Whoever composed this deserves a giant cookie.

I just finished the game's Fate route and this song is far to poignant for me. It played during Shirou's most emotional moments and that of when he was witnessing Saber's path. Seeing her endure all that pain and his attempts to give her a source of light in the darkness really touched me.

This song is just so beautiful that my chest feels heavy when I listen to it due to Saber's past.

Something about this song gets me every time. It's so touching, it makes me contemplate a lot of things. I was blown away by Fate/Stay Night, I watched the anime first and it was good but the visual novel blows it to shit. The characters, the music, the artwork, the presentation, everything was great! The piano part of this song translates really well to guitar. It sounds different, not necessarily better, but different. I'm in the process of recording a clean guitar version of this song at the moment. I'll post it as a video response when/if I finish.

Such a sad song, though, I associate this just as much with Shirou's unstoppable rage as I do with Lancer's "still standing while fading into non-existence" badass moment from Unlimited Blade Works.

As far as making it kid-friendly goes, you could always pick up a copy of Realta Nua for the PS2. It was made for a younger audience with no more sex but it does kinda diminish the Heaven's Feel Route and back story without those scenes.

i know for tsukihime the english patch gave an option of not having the ero parts. i assume since fsn came after it would have the same option but then again you cant assume anything.
