I must say that I disagree with the summary posted along with this video. The original version of this song, from 1972 (I think), was much, much superior to the one in Made in Dakar. The new version is just way too fast.

In fact, I like this live performance better than the 2008 album version. The interplay between Attisso and Cissokho is great here, and while the band is playing the song a bit too fast, it's not nearly as rushed as the new album's version.

It was live at MALTA but Malta it is not a jazz festival...It is the festival of theatres...There is a tradition that the grand finnish is a concert so it was The Buena Vista Social Club in 1999, Goran Bregovic, Toumani Diabate and this live...

I saw myself and my friends somewhere there... The concert of Orchestra Baobab was really marvellous..thx once more...

The guitarist Latfi Benjeloun was interviewed by NPR before a concert on june 19th 2008 at the Birchmere and he said the guitar was given to him by Trey.
