Ruby is by all means tougher than Emerald. And you should have placed Lavos in here. First time around he's so much a pain in the ass that the next guy can feel it.

apprently you havent played zelda, majoras wrath is better then ruby weapon. and you continue to say 99 every time. i did all these bosses (except hokuto no ken 2 bosses because i dont own the game) without 99. its hard, but u dont need 99 so stop saying 99 every time. disliked.
the wapons in FF7 are the easiest bosses of all time! double summon with hades first and knigths second. immitate on the other two chars. due to the stop effect of hades (100% success rate), the weapons wont be able to even do one action.
I found Emerald Weapon a pretty easy boss at lvl 99. WITHOUT underwater materia and the KoTR and Mimic trick. I used Yuffie, Cid, and Cloud since Yuffie and Cid have Limit Breaks that hits everything on the screen many times. I saved up Yuffie and Cid's Limits for when the eyes open up and that destroys those then use Clouds Omnislash since it hits as many times as KoTR does for 9999 each hit. After about 5-10 Omnislashes later Emerald died. =D
the worst enemy is arma ruby without mimic and all that magics xd the rest well...they are dificult but ozma??? thats easy i defeat it at level 68 :S

@pokemonfreek23 while those bosses are hard try the five judges in ff12 you have to fight all of them at once in a 5 on 3 battle and even on there own each judge is stronger than yiazmat and they heal and revive each other like crazy.also do not think about useing reverse 'cos they will just lob elixiers killing you instantly.
alright enough final fantasy RPG bosses don't count cause all u need is the right gear or right stats personally I think the hardest bosses are in platforming games cause they require only two things: skills and insane reflexes, Galamoth from SOTN is a prime example

I found Omega mk 12 quite easy, self -> decoy / reverse gambits on everyone and i did it without even trying, level 75! Emerald weapon was probably the hardest of them in my opinion, saying that im part way through fighting yiazmat right now so don't what he's gonna be like for the last 10% ... penance from ff10 was probably the hardest out of all ffs, never actually managed to beat it without cheating with yojimbo
I ain't bashin RPGs, i love em but with the right equipment and high enough level any boss, barring a few, is easily beaten. It's just the question of how much time you want to waste. Action games are where the real challenge is DMC3 set to Heaven or Hell, now that has the ten hardest bosses. I respect FF and I've played all of them (except FFXIII, which i have no desire to play) but there is no boss that fit the description of the hardest of all time

Every last one of these is a total joke with a plan. You even said it yourself in some of them that all you need is this- WELL GO GET IT! If you have half a brain you never need to input commands in FFXII, you can just leave the game on! I beat Yiazmat overnight as I slept. Seriously. Also, Darksteel is a joke and a half if you have Spears on the Hero and Axes on Yangus. I beat it at level 41.

Not to be an ass hole but yiazmat is deffff number 1. Don't flee the fight, and then say that yiazmat isn't number 1. If you make enough mistakes that fight could last a day, not to mention the attacks when he gets pissed off. I would fight 2 iron giants 3 ozmas and the darksteel dragons mother as long as i didn't have to see yiazmat again.

DUDE.....Darksteel dragon becomes "easier" when u r lv 99 but ....letz talk...with Yiazmat...not even at lv 200(impossible) u would have a safe fight....if hes with bravery+faith and u r with sap...his cyclone hav 98.9% of chance to kill your hole party or just by casting the magic kill
Dissapointed. YOU Placed Emerald ABOVE Ruby!? Ruby can cast Whirlsand twice in a row (which removes a party member from the battle)! To counter this is easy: start with 2 members dead and revive them after Ruby's claws are buried.
To counter Aire Tam Storm, just have Final Attack-Phoneix combo. you won't die so easily, but will take a while.
About Punch Out Tyson? Good luck getting a HIT and one of his punches WILL drop you.

@09TheWilson if its a different boss on that game called Minerva. Shes a God. All her attacks are instant death by DAMAGE.
Only her limit cant instant kill you, and the only way to beat her is to spam Pheonix Downs. Youll die more than every character on DBZ ull just get revived repeatedly
yiazmat and omega mark arent that hard i beat them both around level 75 of course with a strategy of using reverse and some other abilitys that made omega very easy and since i was a low level it took me aroud seven hours to beat yiazmat but very good list man.
the only boss i have never beaten is angeal penace from Crisis Core FF7 on the psp Insanely powerful attacks 1 move that if your level is anything less than 18 WILL KILL YOU EVEN IF YOU GOT 5000 hp he got 90000 hp on normal best psp game ever aparently i love it too do you know how long it takes to level up on this game if you have never faced this boss you got no idea how hard he is at that kind of level. and aparently he is VERY easy. I am gifted for my gaming abilities i got ps2 ps3 and psp.
for darksteel dragon i forgot how i actually do it... i only remember (with a bit of luck) getting tension to 50 or 100, twinhits and Hatchet Swing (or something like that. It's the one where Yangus either crit or miss) and he went down 1 hit... i was around lvl 56 though...
BTW, did you ever play a Devil May Cry game? Try it on Dante Must Die and you can say that every single enemy is a miniboss. And the bosses themselves, well...
Ozma is a chump. He can be easily beaten in the 80s. He just doesn't have the HP to be threatening. You can theoretically kill him in one turn. I imagine he's considerably harder if you don't take care of his shadow absorption, but...why wouldn't you?
Okay, you are super limited. First, most of your bosses are final fantasy. Most of them just take time to defeat them, even with Yiazmat. Yiazmat isn't that hard, and there are a number of combos in which you could do to beat him easily.
@Darkgabo9 Omega doesn't take that much time. He just takes a lot of luck because reverse only lasts a very short time and even one hit without it could send you into berserk. Using haste doesn't help much because he tends to strike rather quickly. Basically in the brief time it could take to cast reverse on your chars he could have killed most and that's with the bubble belt. Omega is all about luck.
yeah it's the strongest boss if you can't use the tricks executer and lightning spear critical and he will die or use dragon soul about 3-4 times and he will die that's for sure

Two words: Doom Dragon (Golden Sun 2: The Lost Age, ok maybe more than two words but this is in paretnesis so it doesnt count. Actually, there's another boss in the game that's even harder than him, but you have to do special things in the first and second games to get to him.)
i remeber ozma I beat that son of a bitch in an hour but of course I had zanes ultima weapon, steiner's excalibur 2, and all the other legendarys so it wasn't that hard
If you have Hades, Ruby's insanely easy. Magic Counters and Mimes make Emerald downright laughable, an easy solo. And with hero drinks and Megalixirs he's an easy no-materia fight too. But my biggest problem with this list is Ozma. Ozma was by far the easiest "difficult boss" I've ever faced in any FF game ever. Equip absorb shadow to everyone and you've pretty much won.
Yiazmat? Are you serious? The only thing "hard" about him is staying awake for how long it takes to kill him. Predictable during his phases, and spell to remove all of his debuffs.
Ozma I almost agree on, he was a tough cookie. Doomsday sucks.
As for Darksteel, it's mostly about luck. He's not all that hard unless he starts focusing on one target, which could arguably actually make it easier.
I don't even want to know how Emerald Weapon got ranked at all. Ever heard of Final Attack+Life/Phoenix? Takes care of Materia Storm. Why the hell would you ever use an HP Absorb materia against him anyway? You deserve to lose the fight if you're relying on that to heal.
Shinryuu I can see, but Coral Rings are not a "cheap trick". That's simply about the only way to even fight him.
Omega MKXII I can see, but overwhelmingly easy. You don't even need to use Decoy+Reverse against him.
Ok- FF8 - beyond the card findings- and shit like that- what about ff8's Omega Weapon- he was a bitch to the individual who didnt know what to get out of the card game - think about that? Once you find out what you need to do with the cards- your chances are vastly greater- Game guides- and the internet make it easier- if it was just you and the game.... I think Omega is a tough mother f'er

I really can't understand how anyone could think that a game where you can effectively save right before a boss could really be that hard. Try to imagine the really hard games with no passwords or saves, a very limited number of lives and few or no continues. Then a boss becomes a real challenge because of how much pressure you're under.
RPG bosses have no challenge because you can keep fighting them infinitely, they mostly count on luck or a simple numbers game, or a simple trick. Bullshit.
@Casanuda Kinda lazy. Ill give you one example though. Not all RPGS have infinite tries on the bosses or the ability to save before it. Some RPGS you get one shot and thats it, or you get a certain amount of attempts. And also a certain amount of time to accomplish.
Granted, but none of these facts are the case with any of these example bosses. Additionally, even if some bosses don't have a save point before them you can still save in the game, instead of having to replay the entire game to get to them for a chance.
That's why most gamers don't consider turn based RPGs hard. Even if you sometimes have to fight against time or only get a certain number of tries, most games that are actually hard do both and require reflexes.
@Casanuda Well usually with RPGS especially PC based, bosses are about strategy and cooperation. So everyone has to work together and cooperate with the mechanics inorder to down the boss. I mean its all debatable

Yup, Absolute Virtue. It was introduced in 2006/2007 and nobody in the entire world has beaten it since. Only Square Enix themselves have beaten it - and it took them 4-6 hours.
yeah penance is pretty hard, but with the right technique can be do-able, I myself have beaten the bastard twice before, gotta love that game :D and BTW i think you were meant to say 'FFXI' instead of 'FFIX'.
No ff6 dragon den bosses??? Somethings wrong here. I would say that the ff6 omega is probably the hardest omega in the ff series(cant really tell for the new ones, they all sucked). And then theres the zombie dragon, zomg nuff said... Even ribbons wont help you much against him! Thats saying something! Then theres the final dragon after(?) omega... I dont even want to talk about it...*shivers*
Ozma is actually among the easiest of all Final Fantasy's optional bosses. I've heard alot from people who believe otherwise. If anything, Ozma was a disappointment... for me at least.
Personally I agree with UltimaXemnas in that beating Ozma is mainly luck. Since it usually attacks twice in a row he can usually kill you off in one turn unless he spams weak attacks or Curaga. Every time I fight it he spams Meteor, Curse and Doomsday, yet when my best friend fought it Ozma barely used its best attacks. He even accidentally used Mini on himself only to have it removed the next round by Ozma! Luck plays a huge role in many optional boss fights but more so on this particular one.
Yazmat is hard because it takes a loooooooong while to beat the sh-- out of him. Luckily I was able to defeat him in just 3 hours :D. My hardest boss so long was Indalecio from Star Ocean 2, the final boss. Man he kicked my butt a lot of times.

I'm 2 levels under you in the DQVIII thing, but I seriously can't get through the Vermillion dragon twice. I got through once because he hit Jessica instead of the Hero (who was about to attack after the V.Dragon did). I got lucky as hell that time, but its a nightmare to think Square and Enix thought of the only way to torture fans of DQ and Final Fantasy (if they are into DQ or hardass challenges). I bet FF13 will be even worse.

another thing bout yiasmat hes not that hard he is just a very long battle since u can enter and leave tha battle without him gatting back hp but u have to make sure he did not cast regan before u left tha arena
a really good way to beat ruby waepon is only 1 attack ^^
than it will play itself till he is dead ^^
it takes bout 14 hours but i can go to the movies during that time :D
make sure u only have 1 char alive and have the best magic / duoble cast and mime or if its mimic and have mime/mimic fused with counter
start by casting cure 3 and than the strongest magic on him he wll then counter attack and u will counter y healing and attacikin and he counter and so on so on
also king of dragovians cannot be enveloped on a wave of ice so do some buffs, insulatle will save a lot of damage from fire and ice, 20 tension kabuff will give you enough def to withstand some hits, omph will give you some extra attack, and you can try to lower some of its def with helm splitter so you can hit harder with your criticals
try leveling up on slime mountain, near Rydon tower up to lvl 65 (lots of metal slimes), that done equip you best equipment, like the grim whip for jessica, dragon slayer upgraded on hero, metal armor and metal king armor, also some metal king helmet and or shield, create timbrel of tension with the crown near the king of dragovians, put meteor brace and timbrel on jessica, angelo will be your healer and yangus & hero can use executioner and other things that ignore def, you can do it o.<
why there no mario or sonic bosses?????????

Action games are where the real challenge is DMC3 set to Heaven or Hell, now that has the ten hardest bosses. I respect FF and I've played all of them (except FFXIII, which i have no desire to play) but there is no boss that fit the description of the hardest of all time

Every last one of these is a total joke with a plan. You even said it yourself in some of them that all you need is this- WELL GO GET IT! If you have half a brain you never need to input commands in FFXII, you can just leave the game on! I beat Yiazmat overnight as I slept. Seriously. Also, Darksteel is a joke and a half if you have Spears on the Hero and Axes on Yangus. I beat it at level 41.
Just saying, I'd hate to see you play games that are actually tricky....

Not to be an ass hole but yiazmat is deffff number 1. Don't flee the fight, and then say that yiazmat isn't number 1. If you make enough mistakes that fight could last a day, not to mention the attacks when he gets pissed off. I would fight 2 iron giants 3 ozmas and the darksteel dragons mother as long as i didn't have to see yiazmat again.

DUDE.....Darksteel dragon becomes "easier" when u r lv 99 but ....letz talk...with Yiazmat...not even at lv 200(impossible) u would have a safe fight....if hes with bravery+faith and u r with sap...his cyclone hav 98.9% of chance to kill your hole party or just by casting the magic kill

Dissapointed. YOU Placed Emerald ABOVE Ruby!? Ruby can cast Whirlsand twice in a row (which removes a party member from the battle)! To counter this is easy: start with 2 members dead and revive them after Ruby's claws are buried.
To counter Aire Tam Storm, just have Final Attack-Phoneix combo. you won't die so easily, but will take a while.
About Punch Out Tyson? Good luck getting a HIT and one of his punches WILL drop you.

Only her limit cant instant kill you, and the only way to beat her is to spam Pheonix Downs. Youll die more than every character on DBZ ull just get revived repeatedly

yiazmat and omega mark arent that hard i beat them both around level 75 of course with a strategy of using reverse and some other abilitys that made omega very easy and since i was a low level it took me aroud seven hours to beat yiazmat but very good list man.

the only boss i have never beaten is angeal penace from Crisis Core FF7 on the psp Insanely powerful attacks 1 move that if your level is anything less than 18 WILL KILL YOU EVEN IF YOU GOT 5000 hp he got 90000 hp on normal best psp game ever aparently i love it too do you know how long it takes to level up on this game if you have never faced this boss you got no idea how hard he is at that kind of level. and aparently he is VERY easy. I am gifted for my gaming abilities i got ps2 ps3 and psp.

for darksteel dragon i forgot how i actually do it... i only remember (with a bit of luck) getting tension to 50 or 100, twinhits and Hatchet Swing (or something like that. It's the one where Yangus either crit or miss) and he went down 1 hit... i was around lvl 56 though...

Ozma is a chump. He can be easily beaten in the 80s. He just doesn't have the HP to be threatening. You can theoretically kill him in one turn. I imagine he's considerably harder if you don't take care of his shadow absorption, but...why wouldn't you?

Okay, you are super limited. First, most of your bosses are final fantasy. Most of them just take time to defeat them, even with Yiazmat. Yiazmat isn't that hard, and there are a number of combos in which you could do to beat him easily.

@Darkgabo9 Omega doesn't take that much time. He just takes a lot of luck because reverse only lasts a very short time and even one hit without it could send you into berserk. Using haste doesn't help much because he tends to strike rather quickly. Basically in the brief time it could take to cast reverse on your chars he could have killed most and that's with the bubble belt. Omega is all about luck.

If you have Hades, Ruby's insanely easy. Magic Counters and Mimes make Emerald downright laughable, an easy solo. And with hero drinks and Megalixirs he's an easy no-materia fight too. But my biggest problem with this list is Ozma. Ozma was by far the easiest "difficult boss" I've ever faced in any FF game ever. Equip absorb shadow to everyone and you've pretty much won.

Yiazmat? Are you serious? The only thing "hard" about him is staying awake for how long it takes to kill him. Predictable during his phases, and spell to remove all of his debuffs.
Ozma I almost agree on, he was a tough cookie. Doomsday sucks.
As for Darksteel, it's mostly about luck. He's not all that hard unless he starts focusing on one target, which could arguably actually make it easier.

I don't even want to know how Emerald Weapon got ranked at all. Ever heard of Final Attack+Life/Phoenix? Takes care of Materia Storm. Why the hell would you ever use an HP Absorb materia against him anyway? You deserve to lose the fight if you're relying on that to heal.
Shinryuu I can see, but Coral Rings are not a "cheap trick". That's simply about the only way to even fight him.
Omega MKXII I can see, but overwhelmingly easy. You don't even need to use Decoy+Reverse against him.

I really can't understand how anyone could think that a game where you can effectively save right before a boss could really be that hard. Try to imagine the really hard games with no passwords or saves, a very limited number of lives and few or no continues. Then a boss becomes a real challenge because of how much pressure you're under.
RPG bosses have no challenge because you can keep fighting them infinitely, they mostly count on luck or a simple numbers game, or a simple trick. Bullshit.

@Casanuda Kinda lazy. Ill give you one example though. Not all RPGS have infinite tries on the bosses or the ability to save before it. Some RPGS you get one shot and thats it, or you get a certain amount of attempts. And also a certain amount of time to accomplish.

Granted, but none of these facts are the case with any of these example bosses. Additionally, even if some bosses don't have a save point before them you can still save in the game, instead of having to replay the entire game to get to them for a chance.
That's why most gamers don't consider turn based RPGs hard. Even if you sometimes have to fight against time or only get a certain number of tries, most games that are actually hard do both and require reflexes.

Penance on FFX was moderatelly hard.
Sephiroth on KHI is way harder than KHII, even then he was pretty easy, just gotta be a bit acrobatic.
Like everyone before me has said, Yiazmat is mainly a test of endurance.
I heard something about the last boss on FFIX (MMORPG), ive heard its way hard, like 'undefeated' hard, but I heard this quite some time ago... anyway, thtas my 2 cents worth

Ozma is actually among the easiest of all Final Fantasy's optional bosses. I've heard alot from people who believe otherwise. If anything, Ozma was a disappointment... for me at least.

Personally I agree with UltimaXemnas in that beating Ozma is mainly luck. Since it usually attacks twice in a row he can usually kill you off in one turn unless he spams weak attacks or Curaga. Every time I fight it he spams Meteor, Curse and Doomsday, yet when my best friend fought it Ozma barely used its best attacks. He even accidentally used Mini on himself only to have it removed the next round by Ozma! Luck plays a huge role in many optional boss fights but more so on this particular one.

Yazmat is hard because it takes a loooooooong while to beat the sh-- out of him. Luckily I was able to defeat him in just 3 hours :D. My hardest boss so long was Indalecio from Star Ocean 2, the final boss. Man he kicked my butt a lot of times.

I'm 2 levels under you in the DQVIII thing, but I seriously can't get through the Vermillion dragon twice. I got through once because he hit Jessica instead of the Hero (who was about to attack after the V.Dragon did). I got lucky as hell that time, but its a nightmare to think Square and Enix thought of the only way to torture fans of DQ and Final Fantasy (if they are into DQ or hardass challenges). I bet FF13 will be even worse.

a really good way to beat ruby waepon is only 1 attack ^^
than it will play itself till he is dead ^^
it takes bout 14 hours but i can go to the movies during that time :D
make sure u only have 1 char alive and have the best magic / duoble cast and mime or if its mimic and have mime/mimic fused with counter
start by casting cure 3 and than the strongest magic on him he wll then counter attack and u will counter y healing and attacikin and he counter and so on so on

also king of dragovians cannot be enveloped on a wave of ice so do some buffs, insulatle will save a lot of damage from fire and ice, 20 tension kabuff will give you enough def to withstand some hits, omph will give you some extra attack, and you can try to lower some of its def with helm splitter so you can hit harder with your criticals

try leveling up on slime mountain, near Rydon tower up to lvl 65 (lots of metal slimes), that done equip you best equipment, like the grim whip for jessica, dragon slayer upgraded on hero, metal armor and metal king armor, also some metal king helmet and or shield, create timbrel of tension with the crown near the king of dragovians, put meteor brace and timbrel on jessica, angelo will be your healer and yangus & hero can use executioner and other things that ignore def, you can do it o.<
