Youtube people are silly...rift is a good game get over the fact that it stole the good points of games (not just WoW) and made it into a better game. I think rift is more for an older audience anyways unlike WoW which is a plague of preteen emotions plus WoW doesnt give you that addiction anymore because of how easy everything is
RIFT IS A FUCKING AWSOME GAME!!! there are many things that i can name off that make this game better than WOW.First you can use a mount at any lvl and not have to wait for lvl20 like in WOW and 2nd you dont have to be in a super high lvl to enjoy a large amount of the game.3rd WOW only lets you have 2 SPECs. while Rift lets you have 4!!4th you can spend the points you've won in PVP or PVE and start enjoying once again more of the game.Just a few reasons Rift is better than WOW :)
And there's only one reason that makes WoW just that more popular than rift: RATED SYSTEMS... competetive play = more players, as the majority of gamers tend to have the NEED to compete and have some kind of rating that backs up their level of skill.

I don't play wow anymore, but you know what? Not even comparable. Rift is made by lazy peons and is played by the easily amused and god bless you all for playing it, but compared to the real MMO's out there and the fact that SWTOR now is out, this game might as well roll over and die.
@geitepung Actually, SWTOR is extremely unfinished, and was no where near as polished or finely crafted at launch as Rift was. I played WoW during the highlight of it's life (vanilla - 2.4.3) and Rift is a far better game imo. Obvious troll is obvious
SWTOR has received far better reviews, positive remarks, not to mention players so far than Rift has gotten the past year. It's getting squashed dude, accept it ^^

I play and like both games mate and am an active member of the community in both games - and I'm saying that it's unfinished and buggy, no where near as polished as Rift was. The game isnt getting squashed because the two games are very different - Rift offers the superior MMO experience, SWTOR is a really good single player game with a buggy, half-playable endgame and imbalanced PvP.

I see many people commenting on videos of Rift that it is much better then wow. As much as that could be true, Wow has been an amazing game for the past 6 years, and for a game to be so successful for so long is something that you rarely see. I am looking forward to this game and also the new MMO blizzard will be releasing "Project Titan".

I used to be a hardcore WoW player until about 2 weeks ago.
Started a trial RIFT account, and the fun is never-ending.
Tons of rifts to seal, never in the same location, you get rewards from sealing them, depending on how you assisted your group (you can join a group in a blink of an eye to seal a rift).
And the dungeons, oh, the dungeons..
I've spent some time tanking in some of them, the tanking was even better than WoW.
was shocked to see someone say rift looks like Aion, Aion was just yet... another and I say another mmo that we have all seen, typical korean grind grind game, very scenic though and botched flying. I wont begin to compare this game to others but quests are endless, so theres not really grinding going on. Ive never played warcraft and never will because of the rumors of children trolling and flaming, bearing in mind the game is 7 years old and needs a graphics update. Rift's a love or hate it

At times it feels likes it copying wow but that's good because it keeps the basic elements and good parts of wow but ads its own things. For example the class system is great. How about this though, To give you peace for a few months about I say a few things about my experience in the game and you come back and tell me if i'm right.
1. Combat is exactly as advertised, a little better than it actually
2. Does not feel like a MMO, A lot of instances including zones Diablo 2ish
3. Dynamic events are as dynamic as Rift... nearly the same except in GW2 they are the quests but they still become as tedious unless your into a single player story type feel.
Doesn't really address my questions, but okay then:
1. Yep, combat is pretty good. I think GW2's combat is way better and has the potential to be more skill based than the standard MMO, like Rift.
2. Not sure how to respond here, as GW2 meets the standards to qualify as an MMO. Their placement of instances is more strategic in order to preserve the intended gameplay mechanics.
3. How is it that the dynamic events are "nearly the same"?
I diffidently want to try this out, Ive played WOW and always get bored of it lol. How logn does it take to hit max level? And is this game as good as it looks?

I used to be a hardcore WoW player until about 2 weeks ago.
Started a trial RIFT account, and the fun is never-ending.
Tons of rifts to seal, never in the same location, you get rewards from sealing them, depending on how you assisted your group (you can join a group in a blink of an eye to seal a rift).
And the dungeons, oh, the dungeons..
I've spent some time tanking in some of them, the tanking was even better than WoW.
Go try RIFT.
I know one thing - I'm never coming back to WoW.

was shocked to see someone say rift looks like Aion, Aion was just yet... another and I say another mmo that we have all seen, typical korean grind grind game, very scenic though and botched flying. I wont begin to compare this game to others but quests are endless, so theres not really grinding going on. Ive never played warcraft and never will because of the rumors of children trolling and flaming, bearing in mind the game is 7 years old and needs a graphics update. Rift's a love or hate it

@V1rkah Ive been playing wow for about a year on and off, i made a trial rift account and i really like it. At times it feels likes it copying wow but that's good because it keeps the basic elements and good parts of wow but ads its own things. For example the class system is great. Ive been playing rift for about a week now, but havent touched wow since then.

seems everybody is choosing defiant i myself tryed the free trial but i didnt have enough time to make a decision so im asking you whats the difference in terms of game play and enviroment. El Rift es muy bueno, para mi incluso mejor que el WoW ya que este ultimo ya me tenía hasta las pelotas. How about this though, To give you peace for a few months about I say a few things about my experience in the game and you come back and tell me if i'm right.
1. Combat is exactly as advertised, a little better than it actually
2. Does not feel like a MMO, A lot of instances including zones Diablo 2ish
3. Dynamic events are as dynamic as Rift... nearly the same except in GW2 they are the quests but they still become as tedious unless your into a single player story type feel.

Doesn't really address my questions, but okay then:
1. Yep, combat is pretty good. I think GW2's combat is way better and has the potential to be more skill based than the standard MMO, like Rift.
2. Not sure how to respond here, as GW2 meets the standards to qualify as an MMO. Their placement of instances is more strategic in order to preserve the intended gameplay mechanics.
3. How is it that the dynamic events are "nearly the same"?

Umm...TBH, none you guys can say this game is better then WOW, the reason being, is that WOW has developed pretty much all the ideas, the foundations, the classes, ''beastmaster'' and a 3 fucking talent tree, the creators of this game have OBVIOUSLY played WOW or delved into it...but all i can say, is, that wow might get boring because you clearly suck at it, so dont use this game as an excuse to overthrow WOW.
