it is to prepare us for secondary sprays we may get in the field. And it works. I have received secondary sprays and I have recovered much better than I did after my first hit of it.

@vsboy25 There are few purposes in doing this, one is to let you experience what it feels like being sprayed. Second it gives you an idea of what to do IF you are accidentally spray. I've been sprayed with OC before and it hurt like hell but I know how to deal with it since then.
