do u know how many innocent people are getting beating for nothing in LAhore, how many women are getting cheased by the goverment police this is enough. Not as a pakistani but as a human, we have to do something with this brutal diktatur parwez musharaf, why is the pakistanis not doing any thing, how much more can you take pakistan will end more worst then Irak.
Musharraf is a good strong leader. He is just, and he loves his nation. He is doing what he has to do. The western nations are stupid for not supporting him...he is faaaaaaar better than the trash against him.
Is there any democracy in the parties of Sherif and Ms Bhutto? Would Ms Bhutto and Sherif (considering their political bio-data) be allowed to be the heads any democracy in the world?
Remember those journalists arrested, those judges sacked, those national wealth plundered during those "gold times" of Sherif and Ms Bhutto? Have you ever heard any Supreme Court chief justice going on a road show anywhere in the world, challenging the chief executive of his or her country? Would that be allowed anywhere in the world?
You Pakistanis are fortunate to have a strong leader like Mushraff who saved your country from bankruptcy. Was there any leader before him who freely opened the media in Pakistan as he did in your entire history? I am not saying that Musharraf is a totally flaw-less person; he has his own faults, but he is a better ruler in comparison to any of your so-called political leaders who some of seem blindly adore!

Well, to those who systematically give minus points to my comment on Musharraf, if you have the guts, have the honesty to write what you think are the negative qualities of Musharraf in comparison to your "great democratic leaders" like Nawas Sherif, Ms Bhutto, Imran Khan, etc. or refute what I wrote about Mr. Sherif, etc.
For your information, Musharraf's mother is a God-fearing and truthful lady (she is in her 80s) who prays for his son everyday after Fajr (the Morning Prayer). She also taught Musharraf good manners and they are not the followers of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad! Believe me; you are not doing any good to Islam by using abusive language!
To, Al-Jazeera, better be neutral when you report on Pakistan and Musharraf! You do not just only bring only those corrupt politicians and pseudo-intellectuals, you also bring others who have different views! And to Mr. Imran, the presenter, you come across quite naive than an experienced presenter! It is better to be professional. Please take a lesson on Pakistani politics!
As you would've heard if you listened after the guest introductions, the anchor said they had 2 Pakistani MP's confirmed for the show who then cancelled at the last minute.
When you invite Tony Blair to represent a view, you do not invite one or two obscure MPs to represent the other view; you rather invite someone of similar profile. Mr Shabaz Sharif is the brother of Nawaz (the former PM) and Mr Haqqani is a known Musharraf basher, so you do not invite one or two obscure MPs, you invite the spokesman for Musharraf or somebody of equal profile! That is the meaning of objectivity, at least, the way I understand it.
Moreover, most of the questions of Mr Imran were quite leading or seemed to stress his (or the people who directed the programme) preconceived notion; and, that is not an example for good reporting either!
Musharraf is better than any of your so-called democratic leadership; your brother Mr.Sharif was reportedly paid 1000 Pakistani Rupees as his income tax in one of those years. People were committing suicide in front of your brother's official home (Sharif). Your brother also attacked the Supreme Court and forced the Judge to resign. Shame on you, now you speak about democracy!
Bhutto was brought in by US(Bush & Rice)coaxing Musharaf that it would appease the oppostion. US foreign policy has egg on their face and losing credibility overseas.
I am pakistani and still I am unable to understand bhutto interverntion now and then and presented to us as the savior of humanity and democracy in pakistan. In a blink of eye all cases against bhutto and her husband are droped ??? Well without Nawaz Sharif there will never be free election.
The 1789 armed French Revolution, a bloody uprising of the masses, a People's war, which consisted of burning the symbols of tyranny (the king's castles, prisons etc), killing monarchs etc and finally hanging both the King and Queen, managed to destroy the terror and dictatorship which monarchs had enjoyed for long.
Both Musharaf and Benazir Bhutto should be removed from Pakistan's political life because they represent tyranny. Tyranny because Musharaf's is a military junta and Bhuto's is a dynasty. Those are indirect MONARCHS who share power and at times fight against themselves but to the detriment of the masses and Pakistan. Pakistanis should stage a COMPLETE (...)revolution to rid the country of those monarchs.
Nawaz sharif would be better candidate to fight the war on terror with decmocratic mandate butamerica should keep this mind who ever comes next will he or she will have confidet in the army ? and with what tool will they use to fight the war against terror ?
Musharaf is a great leader.
nawaz sharif, qazi hussain, imran khan are corrupt and traitors.
