  • i was high, and cried to this song

  • I admit it. I sobbed uncontrollably.

  • *Me as soon as I heard the opening notes*

WHYYYYY?! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE BOROMIR?!?!?!?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • This is so beautiful. Along with Concerning Hobbits, this is my favorite track..it's so emotional. The movie brings tears to my eyes so many times, especially at the end when*SPOILER WARNING* the Fellowship is broken and Frodo realizes what he has to do, but then Sam follows him...or when Gandalf falls to the Shadow and they all cry...(even though I know he comes back :)...it's such a good trilogy. The best, probably. Can't wait till the Hobbit, but will always miss the first three!

  • By far my favorite quote:

"Deserves it! I daresay he does. Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends."

    I mean, that or:

"What's taters, precious? What's taters, eh?

Po-tay-toes!* Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew... Lovely big golden chips with a nice piece of fried fish"

Love the song, thanks for putting it up!

  • @bob100077 Because of that part of the story, boiled chicken with potatoes and a little bit of salt (sam's treasure) became one of my favorite meals =)

  • Thought it was justin bieber singing

  • If you liked the movies try the books.

  • @Tigerlilyz1011 The books were 10 times better.

Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed the movies! But you just CAN'T condense over 1000 pages of pure genius into 9-12 hours of film. You simply won't be able to do credit to the original work.

That being said, they came pretty doggone close!

  • @OneBiasedOpinion Well said. Peter Jackson was undoubtedly the right choose! He kept true respect for the original work of Tolkien and kept the hollywood bullcrap away.

  • This hits me right home!

  • this is gonna play at my funeral and its goin to be on top of a mountain

  • Wonderful! Many thx for the upload.

  • 2:15 Sounds like the theme from Titanic

  • I had it on auto play and posted my comment as the music changed. My comment is for the track before this

  • At 2:10 my stomach goes and for some reason I smile. I wish Boromir didn't die, but he went out a hero none the less

  • I don't understand people who dislike these films because they're "too long". These are probably the same people who are willing to sit through three hours of the wooden acted, incomprehensible and boring Transformers films. I hope the Hobbit grinds Transformers or its equivalent into the dust at the box office this Christmas.

  • @ladsrus Ah, but you see, LOTR requires thought, something those people are incapable of.

  • I really love it!!!

  • I used to hate the movies as my sisters hated them, but then I became older and started loving these movies. They are just amazing! :')

  • I thank my dad for bring me when i was 10 to see the fellowship of the ring. It is my best experience of film with him. Can't wait for the hobbit.

  • Hmmm...i don't get it.....the modern music on youtube got like around 45MILLION vieuws....

This even don't have 1 Million...it should deserve more =P

  • Am I the only one who is inspired by this song? I mean, life is great, we just don't always enjoy it enough, we have to help the people who need help, and I don't mean only the poor people in poor lands, but look at you own country, not everything is perfect, you can easily help those people. Together we can change the world. Start by reading this with a posh accent, makes it cooler!

  • I could easily have hated it too, but my mum explained me what I didn't understand and I got her passion. Now I know it better than her and I loooooove Lotr!!! <3 It's the most important, epic, meaningful, emotional, true and touching story that has ever been invented. Invented? No, been inspired by God Himself!

  • @LifeLoveDreamMusic If by god you mean tolkien, then yes, it was god.

  • - I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened

    - So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring, in which case you also were meant to have it. And that is an encouraging thought...

  • @2thebad i agreee with u:) i cant for the hobbit to come out:)

  • - I've never thought I would die side by side by an Elf!

    - What about side by side by a friend?

    - Aye... I could do that!

  • Such songs never die... They will remain in our hearts giving us melancoly and hope at hard times. I wish middle earth wad real so i could live the rest of my life in such beautifull places like these. When i hear this music, it reminds me of when i used to play with wooden sticks like swords with my friends. I wish this music will be never forgotten.

  • perfect lyrics and perfect music

  • Memories coming back

  • sauron, glauring, saruman, and smaug all disliked this masterpiece

  • Comment removed

  • It wasn't long ago that if you'd asked me how I felt about The Lord of the Rings I'd laugh and call them boring, dull, and meaningless.

Ask me now, I'll laugh and wonder why on Middle-Earth you thought I of all people wouldn't appreciate a Masterpiece of Art.

  • boner @2.15

  • I remember as a child how we used to play with sticks and bows after seeing these films :)

  • 100 years from now, this will have the same epic status as Mozart music.

  • The lack of almost all of Tolkien's songs in the films are more than made up for by Howard Shore.

  • I find this to be a very peaceful song.

  • Oh sam suck my cock!

  • @kfedcunners Whats taters precious?!

  • I made a promise mr. Frodo, a promise.

Don't you leave him Samwise Gamgee, and I don't mean to.

    I don't mean to....

  • @2thebad

That practically brought tears to my eyes...

  • Oh God..when i see this in the ending scene, i cant hold back my tears. Its just overwhelming. I would give everything to watch Lord of the Rings like i watched it the first time. Over the years, Lord of the Rings became a part of my life. And in many years i will show it to my children and we will see it together.

  • 2:49

Hurry! Frodo and Sam have reached the eastern shore!

You mean not to follow them?

Frodo's Fate, is no longer in our hands.

Than it has all been in vain, the fellowship has failed...

Not if we hold true to eachother, we will not abandon Merry and Pippin to torment and death. Not while we still have strength left. Leave all that can be spared behind. We Travel Light. Let us hunt some Orc!

    Yes!!!

  • (L)

  • Just love it love it love it!!! <3 It is much more than music! It is emotion, it is life, it is happiness, it is sadness, it is nostalgy, it is the world, it is love, it is everything

  • 6:11

the name of the song because i love it...it represent the LotR

  • Seriously these movies make me believe more in God and Jesus our beloved savior!

  • to incredible to even describe, howard.... Tolkien... its just ..... :)

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone know who's the singer near the end?

  • Comment removed

  • @yuvalandspeed The singer is Ben Del Maestro. :)

  • Never knew this song had words to it, nice surprise :)

  • "I made a promise, Mr. Frodo. A promise. Don't you leave him Samwise Gamgee, and I don't mean to. I don't mean to."

  • @MarioFansUnite epic moment, I read your comment and the scene flashed back instantly, maybe because i watched the damn thing more than 15 times each ! :( AWESOMENESS .... :(

  • god, I have really hard chill on my arms

  • When I put this song on, my sister says she hates it en that i must put off the crappy music..i didnt understand why? this music is better than they are making it now, now its just with computers..But yesterday i came in her room and she was listening with her eyes closed to this soundtrack ;) i knew it! you can't hate this music..

  • JAG BLIR HELT SALIG!!

  • jediking12, I'm expecting the full soundtracks of both "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and "There and Back Again" from you when they are released. Don't let me down ;) P.S Thank you so much for uploading all of these! Howard Shore it such a genius!

  • These magical soundtracks makes me relax like no other soundtrack.

I must admit, no music beats these soundtracks..

  • i am such a nerd, i like cry over the soundtrack for this movie

  • @Phcrayla you're not the only one my friend

  • @Phcrayla you're not alone. I cry like a baby during the entire soundtrack.

  • @Phcrayla i knew i wasnt the only one, i am too hard to cry, but my eyes tear, and inside im like, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

    WHY THE END?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Phcrayla this songs makes you get the feeling of the Book, combine this song and when Frodo departs from the Gray Havens and days farewell to his friends, and you get countless tears

  • I really CAN'T belive that when I was 7 - 8 I hated this movie. What was I thinking about?

    These movies are ART

  • @makexix You too?

  • @jediking12 me three!

  • @jediking12 You should both read the books, They're even more wonderful than the films.

  • @deadtiredsleepnow And the BBC audio drama version, done in the 1980s, is EXCELLENT.

  • @michaeldaviswriter Agreed. But that's just par for the course for the BBC. haha

  • @jediking12 hey me as well, i hated it because it looks boring but after watching it in 2010 ahah thats was the year i watched it, i finally realized how good this movie was :))

  • @makexix

I was around that age when my parents tried to get me to watch it, but I wasn't interested. I'm now 18 and in college, and I just recently watched the entire trilogy with my friend. Now, I can't wait for The Hobbit!

  • @MuranoProductions In my case i was 17, now 27. They marked a very difficult and solitary part of my life. These movies gave me strengh to be a better person and more womanly. With the Hobbit, i'm back home again.

  • @makexix I had never heard of lord of the rings before the movies, but I cant help but like them ;)

  • @makexix Me too D=

  • @makexix Lol when I was 7 these movies changed my life.....

  • @makexix LOL NOOBS WHEN I WAS 7-8 I LOVED THIS MOVIES ... lotr are a dream for every child .. how could you hate it????

  • @GamerDrumerAnimer Well Im wondering the same. And I hate myself because of that :<

  • @makexix Child mistakes... excusable.

  • The best songs need no voice, the music speaks for itself.

  • I'm so excited for the Hobbit to come out I'm just hoping it doesn't ruin LOTR.

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one with such strong attachments to this song. It's so amazing that a series can have such an impact on one's life.

  • i didn't like these series until i took and arrow to the knee.

  • damn...this song theme reminds me of all the memories I had in the past 10 years. LOTR FTW!!!

  • CANT WAIT FOR THE HOBBIT TO COME OUT ! :D

  • 3:35... "Let's hunt some orc..." - Aragorn

  • I love the ending to the Fellowship of the Ring because it's ONLY the beginning of their quest! Their hair is still relatively clean, they don't have too many cuts or bruises, and they are decently confident in their journey. By the end they're ragged and injured all over, their lips are cracked, and Frodo can't even walk. I love this ending because they simply have no idea what lies ahead.

  • We may see them again Mr. Frodo

  • you should be proud of yourself to upload videos like this :D

  • The best song ever gives me goose bumps and brings tears to my eyes

  • Sam = True best friend :)

  • when the pipes come in .. ffhsddkghfjsgfjhgsjsjkasakaksagfjfjfhfgjdksat!!!!!!, tremendous!

  • Nostalgic memories from the past have hit the heart!

  • @123arthurc i was about to comment the same thing. the last time i listened to this was a year ago. There was a storm and the power went out. i loved those type of nights.

that was back when things were alright. ive grown so much since then.

its crazy how much just a song can bring back.

  • @IItsDestiiny Ye man. I grew up in the welsh valleys and can relate to LOTR soo well. :)

  • F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C

  • @ReViewMeDias So I've heard! I hope it's going to be a hit!

  • my god.. i cannot wait for the hobbit to come out and dive back into middle earth!

  • "I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."

"So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All they get to decide is what to do with the chance that is given to them."

  • @valendile chance? you mean time

  • well, im back.

  • Frodo: I wish the ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.

Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. -- possibly one of the best quotes in all of the films. long live Gandalf.

  • @UltimateRpGx your right. Agreed 100%

  • @UltimateRpGx Agreed. I am looking forward to see more of Gandalf in the upcoming Hobbit - films :)

  • Very very good

  • This is the greatest song ever!!!!!!

  • Frodo: We may never seen them again

Same: We may Master Frodo...we may

  • @jediking12

we may never SEE them again...

  • @jediking12

i wanna add something too your comment , cuz its not only about the fellowship breaking apart , there is a good lesson and disipine into it '' its about sam being a true friend following frodo knowing he cant swim sacreficing himself NOT hoping he'll be saved by frodo but by being truelly loyal too him ''THAT IS TRUE FRIENDSHIP ''some ppl are mostly being sceptical about that and say its gay cuz it doesn happen very much but there are true

  • I can seriously cannot believe I'm crying!!!! Oh, why the hell not!? XD

  • in 7:21 minutes it felt like the world had peace. quiet. relaxing and helping other peoples in a hard time. Thumbs up if you wish for world peace and that Tolkien should be rememberd for Generations to generations. R.I.P Tolkien <3

  • people think that to make a great movie you need great actors

but doesnt this prove that it isnt just the amazing acting that maks LOTR what it is but it is also the epic music!!!!!

  • It's just so amazing. This song gets you into another world, a world where people sacrify everything for a desperate cause

  • @adgre768 I always cry at the movies no matter how many time i have seen them and then in the books well lets not talk about that...

Cant wait fot the hobbit to be released does anyone know when??

  • the funny thing is... i didn't cry during any of the movies plus i'm a girl and i have the extended edition. i love the movie but its not sad enough to make me cry

  • ELVES AND DWARVES

  • Thumbs up if you had manly tears when Boromir died :[

  • "I made a promise, Mr Frodo. A promise. "Don't you leave him Samwise Gamgee"..and I don't mean to..I don't mean to."

  • This song always takes me back to the feelings I had after first seeing Movie One, when I couldn't wait for The Two Towers to be released. It touches the soul in ways that no other music can.

  • just so beautiful i really hope they use some of these songs in the hobbit <3

  • 3:45 It's just fantastic!

  • This makes me cry so much

I just realized that the last LOR movie was in 2003 , my life is going by so fast :'(

  • I listen to this song while writing my book. BTW, I am writing a book!

  • @MineCraftingTUT me too! What's your book about?

(its funny how I would NEVER ask someone irl a question but on youtube I do)

  • @AgentLlamaSpit It's called the Chronicles of the 3 Powers book 1. (:

  • 5:20 is the most emotional part.

  • This is such a beautiful piece of music i cannot convey enough how much of a genius Howard Shore is. To the two people who disliked this song i feel very sorry for you for not being able to appreciate this work of art.

  • Damn you Saruman for disliking this song.

  • Every time I replay this song, replaying the invasion of beauty intruding my ears, All i hear is pure nothing but beauty. It reminds of me of the two most saddest events of my lifetime. 9/11, AND The challenger crash. Thumbs up if you are celebrating 9/11 Tribute Day// The anniversary.

  • The reason I seek out music like this is because the journey your taken on. You can actually feel step by step the emotions.

  • my favorite part is when the flute comes in at 2:15 or whatever instrument that is. its awsome!!!
