I love the ending to the Fellowship of the Ring because it's ONLY the beginning of their quest! Their hair is still relatively clean, they don't have too many cuts or bruises, and they are decently confident in their journey. By the end they're ragged and injured all over, their lips are cracked, and Frodo can't even walk. I love this ending because they simply have no idea what lies ahead.

the funny thing is... i didn't cry during any of the movies plus i'm a girl and i have the extended edition. i love the movie but its not sad enough to make me cry
