@KillazBlaze The number of subs aren't as important as the number of views you are getting. If you 1000 subs and they aren't watching your vid, what good is that? Trust me.

No, it's not a competition thing.  I just don't like the snobbish attitude that they feel they are better than others. It did happen to a friend and I knew I could prove the views didn't match. Hey, if they want to use a bot program I don't care, but don't change your attitude and act all stuck up.

As a rule of thumb, a healthy equation is:

Average video views = around 50% of subscriber count

Average number of ratings = around 10% of subscriber count

Average number of comments = around 5% of subscriber count.

It may differ from channel to channel, but as you say: if someone has a HUGE amount of subs and hardly any views, ratings or comments, you know something's wrong.

Bottom line: if you want good subscribers, you have to be a good subscriber yourself first.

Youtube is weird. With all due respect, i've never understood this obsession with "views" and subscribers and such. It's not as if it's a big money maker...that's different but unless time on the Tube is a hobby it just seems that "cheating" is stupid and for those that really have no life. Why anyone cares about subs...don't know or care as I only sub channels I actually like. I have 122 subscribers...and i've never asked anyone to sub me and I won't because I really don't care.

I agree with you and I feel it is an obsession to some. There was one person who was nice to my friend and then all of a sudden copped an attitude when she got all these subs. It just happened so quickly that we knew it was probably due to a bot program. I just don't like the attitude. There are many vids that I love that I personally feel should have millions of views, but they don't. That's no one's fault.

i agree people should not cheat to get suscribers. i use youtube to talk to people and my videos i upload are just for fun. im not out to get lots of views. but i love to make videos of scenery and amusement parks and concerts and share them with everyone.

Yeah I dislike the "cheat" system for bots with their channels . I think the big youtubers has done this ( the shady ones ) because it was like no one knew about them then bam one day everyone does . Whats with that. I don't have many subscribers and do okay vids . I am not fancy with them though which makes a difference. Plus I design my own page which also has a lot to do with it. People like perfection and that I do not have lol.

Oh, I wanted to include that in the vid regarding fx. Seriously, I think an interesting vlog is all that is needed. ItsChrisCrocker who I feel has always done vlogging vids without special fx. Whether or not people like him, he is successful. He's funny and witty. Down to earth too if you ever get a chance to talk to him. I did my page myself and I'm alright with it. The banner was done by PuppyZwolle when I became a Partner. I really can't stand those subscribe buttons everywhere, lol!

That's great! Someone who has 8,000 more subs than I do,  I monitored and realized that I have 6,000 more views daily than they do. It's been bothering me and my other friend. I hate cheaters.
