You live; you die - no problem!
It's because you're scared of death that you need religious fantasy to cope with life.
As for god's wrath... Well, wrath is a sign of weakness and meanmindedness; it's the sign of lack of control (he also murders regularly) - So I think your god is the lowest of the low - you would be better off without him.
The good news is: he doesn't exist.
No afterlife; no heaven/hell.
Just life; make of it what you can.

@StrumstickJoe religion isn't just a nice sentiment brother. Christians have more then just the bible as proof for their blind faith. Never feel uncomfortable to seek god.

@benhoward1 In many years of discussions with religious people, nobody has ever produced for me anything other than the bible as proof of the bible (or the koran, in the case of the others)
I would feel uncomfortably childish if I ever felt I needed to have an imaginary friend.
Of course religion is blind faith! (You made a slip and confirmed that in your post!) It's blind because it needs a leap from reality to the belief in magical characters.

@StrumstickJoe I'd encourage you to watch history channel's the real face of Jesus. That offers scientific evidence to prove Jesus existed not only that, but it completely reinforced the bibles story and the scientists themselves do not know how the image was marked into the shroud. Radiation went through it and one of the scientists himself said it was his personal belief that it was because Jesus rose from the dead his energy was the radiation the shroud absorbed. @benhoward1 There is no proof of JC's existence.
The Turin shroud (if that's what you're talking about) was discredited years ago - but even if it had been a death shroud from that era, then nothing is proven.
Even if you prove JC, and his virgin birth, and miracles, and resurrection - you have still not proven the bible or divinity.
There are no gods, there is no soul or afterlife.
Convincing yourself of these pathetic little bits of stuff is futile.

@StrumstickJoe are you saying that it was discredited by the carbon dating. If that is your case they approach that in the video. They cut it from the outer most corner and it had been touched by so many people for thousands of years so that was the worst place to cut from. And I already am living my life.

maybe im bitching too much now because i left a grey (sort of negative) comment on the self control video. Anyway, at 26 seconds ( i haven't seen anymore ) you seem baffled at the situation of God's wrath but it seem s extremely blatently obvious that hell is a much bigger situation then death. Just so you know, if you can get through the pain, this is supposed to be constructive critisicm. I duno, maybe I was early to comment and youll make sense later on.

For the record, I also deny the holy sprite; the JC character, and all the gods that have ever been invented!
The bibles of religion are vindictive, superstitious and (obviously) man made by people who knew no better.

They believe in MAN MADE RELIGIOUS TRADITIONS in place of the Gospel that are a counterfeit that seem similar or like it but are NOT! Instead of the Word of God and what God said to do which is to SIMPLY obey his Gospel! NOT live in man made religious SELF RIGHTEOUSNESS! (God said MY PEOPLE PARISH FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE!)
