that was sad when her eggs broke apart and she started to try and web them up the best she could. Just remember not to move her enclosure around while she is laying eggs or webbing them, which I suspect may be why this happened. Otherwise, nice video!

Fantastic video! I have a spider nesting on my back door with her two egg sacs. I told the window cleaner to wash around them as he would have just wiped it away like it was some dirt on the window. She's been on the door for a long time now and I watch her everyday. She never leaves her sacs. I'll miss her when she's gone. How many baby spiders come out of one sac?

@Matrix29bear Many mother spiders are very maternal/protective of their babies. My S. Grossas watch their eggs intently for weeks while they wait for them to hatch and if the babies dont' emerge on their own, the mom chews a hole in the sac to let them out. Then the babies gather around her for days, even weeks, sharing her meals and protection.
