  • Well its 'ok' for a lowly pimp or a college dropout. I love to see their surprised faces when these tires blow. But not to worry, their rims and tires are $hit anyway.

    Ricers these days....

  • @CTEPEOMOHO drifters dont seem to have a problem with stretched tires...

  • what is the size of the tyre and of the rim?

  • i want to do this to my Kosei K1 17s

any advise on tire size and all???

    currently i have 205 40 17s all around

  • This is my favorite tire strech vid !

  • LLOlL fuckn RAT

Is that an actual too short song??

  • wath the model this wheel????

  • HAHA love the RAT

  • its ricing

  • HELLA PIMP!

    YEE!

  • tire stretching is (pretty stupid...just my opinion and im sure its a popular stance at where im standing) id rather have some right tires mounted on the right rim. get the right suspension and fenders and you wont have to worry about "rubbing". in this case "rubbing" happens when idiots in v-dubs put on wheels their car cant handle...then they drive on corners their wheels cant handle.

  • @nj3ndri

    why do stretched tires?

well the whole thing started in germany/belgium, local laws required that the tire tread be within the fender line. well that doesnt allow one to run wider or lower offset wheels, so they put narrower tires on the wheel to maintain legality

when you would like to run really wide or low offset wheels and keep the tire tread at the fender

    ;)

  • Thats it! blast a hot load of chili into that fucker! I swear humans are devolving!

  • I'm not a big fan of race rims and big rims but wow, you have some nice wheels.

  • sweeeeet !!!!

  • name of the rims??? where can i find them ?? please

  • @locofortin those look like work equips or some reps i dunno

  • @CuSToS93 thanks!!

  • Comment removed

  • Do stretch tyres not pop off the bead?

  • What's the trade off for stretching your tires like that? Like loweing suspension increases risk of damaging your undercarriage. I know there's always a risk to these kind of cosmetic mods?

    Just curious.

  • Good choice of music! Lol.

  • can any one tell me if i got a 15ich wheel what tire do i need to stretch it

  • @shariqminhas1 you need a tire for a 14" rim, that's how most of the stance guys do it, it helps if you cut two or three coils off your springs too

  • BIITCH! BITBITBIBITBITBITTTCH

    wtf was that

  • Equipって18あったんだ。ワーク

  • :50 is sexy

  • tyre stretching also strengthens the tire wall , thats why u see loads of driftcars with stretched tyres

  • Mad decent.

  • whats with the dead rat?

  • @netmatrix75 I said the same thing. Completely unrelated

  • dope love streched tires looks clean ass hell

  • sexy!!!!!! <3 it

  • wide wheels, stretched tires, offset, slammed suspension, and a little fender rub= hellaflush nice... bullseye

  • illest

  • lol idiots.

  • whats with the dead rat in the video

  • amazing love the look and so simple... hellaflush

  • tHAT LOOKS SICK.

  • whats up with the rat at 1:09?

  • They do look ugly on standard cars but when your tires sit in line with the guards they look good.

  • dumb fuck fag i shouldnt be looking at these videos it u dont know shit

  • The rat was inserted in he tire for dynamic balancing.

  • @michaelovitch It's actually a hamster, and this car has 4 hamsterpowers, 1 in each tire!

  • kolesie sa upierdoleni na maxa buahahaha...

  • how do u know the right size to stretch the tire ??

  • yah I never did understand why people did this, I think it would look way better getting the correct width of rubber for the rim you have... safer and looks better IMO

  • @djbass101 I agree. I work at a tire shop, and I've only seen a stretched tire a few times in person. The rims always have massive curb rash 'cause they have no protection from the tire, and they always leak air. Please, someone let this practice die.

  • @mrdurdan67 What a load of old Bollocks!

  • @mrdurdan67

Mine never leak air and the only time you get curb rash is if you cant park clearly you know nothing and probably work at wal-mart

  • @TRUSTS14 No, I don't work at Wal-mart. I work for the largest tire installer in the US, and I've been doing this for years. If this was a safe practice for mounting tires, the vehicle manufacturers would be doing this on some of their models. And yes, they always have curb rash because the guys who drive these cars are too worried about looking cool to be able to see where the hell they're going. I guess your back has to be wet to understand why this is cool.

  • @mrdurdan67 lowered cars perform better than stock height, so why hasnt every manufacturer lowered their cars from the factor? the manufacture isnt always right

  • @ij1889 I wasn't even talking about lowered cars. I was talking about tire stretching. Vehicle manufacturer's don't tire stretch 'cause it isn't safe. You don't have to mount a skinny tire on a wide wheel to lower your car. And you can't use a blanket statement like, "lowered cars perform better than stock height". Sure, they perform better in certain aspects; i.e. cornering and road racing. But that same lowered car wouldn't ride as nice as the stock height car on the street.

  • that looks like shit and it'll ride like shit too

  • @eerrbb256 your a fucking idiot!

  • @CHA5ERFACE how am i an idiot, please tell me?...those stupid gay low profile tires on anything make you feel everything on the road, they suck, and those wheels look really gay

  • @eerrbb256 if your going to buy adjustable coulovers for your car you've obviousley thrown ride comfort out the window. streching tyres isent for you everyday family car witch you probebly drive. more or less used in drifting and any variouse other motorsports. stretching tyers over a larger sized rime will increase turn in time (reduce sidewall flex) overall makeing it handle better. and yes most time people do it is cus it looks good, so dont coment on things you know nothing about champ.

  • @CHA5ERFACE drifting and street racing ain't motor sports retard, and i don't drive a fucking family car, learn how to spell first off..

  • @eerrbb256 YOU are the fucking retard! drifting is a motor sport and if you dont believe it is, you obviousley dont care much for motorsport. and i never mentioned anything about street racing nor do i condone it. i have been speaking the english language now for about 5 years i dont think my minor speling errors have anything to do with this! you obviously dont care and or know anything about cars/racing so stay the fuck of these youtube threads!!! jackass.....

  • @CHA5ERFACE shut the fuck up retard, its only youtube..calm the fuck down

  • @eerrbb256 and your only a idiot so gtfo!

  • @CHA5ERFACE If determining the winner requires anything other than a lap-counter or a stopwatch then it is not racing. Footballers don't win on style points and neither do real racers.

  • @zapwatt racing is a part of motor sports and so is drifting. dont argue somthing with little to no relevance to the thread. please find something better to do with your time rather than explaining things that people allready know.... jackass.

i will not reply to anything else that you may have to say.

  • @CHA5ERFACE "i will not reply to anything else that you may have to say."<--well hell, with an offer like that, how could I refuse?! I will say anything that pleases me. The point of Youtube comments is not solely to heap praise upon things which some lot of fanbois all agree. True expression may be positive or negative. I feel that tire stretching is dangerous and that the "sport" called "drifiting: is not only a fad, not real racing but also that little of whatthey do is a drift at all.

  • @eerrbb256 hey punk bitch keep your shitty comments to youself

  • @xMrP1nkx fuck you stupid ass fucking niggers and spics, this is american where white people can say what they want...WHITE PRIDE, WHITE POWER, WHITE PRIDE WORLD WIDE

  • @eerrbb256 to each his own, i think it looks great

  • @efrankie90 do you know how to speak english?

  • Who Need A "B" - Bun B.

  • it looks good, way better than fatass tires sticking out of the sides of your car

  • yea son before low pros ever came out the only way that drivers could get a good handleing tire was to take one slightly too big and stretch it over a wide azz rim to get the short side wall efect (better handleing) there is a stoping point for stretching though some is dangerous!

  • Is this shop still around in RIchmond or Vancouver??

  • that is the craziest way i ever saw a tire get stretched lol i think i prefere fire tho haha

  • fire is more fun!! lol!

  • heyy i got 16's and whats are he best offsets for 16's?

    sorry noob much :\

  • looks sooo gay

  • that jet of air or gas would have been loud AS!!!!!!!!

  • Good luck holding the car on the road even at 60Mph when a sharp object cuts the side wall wide open.

  • i assume he mounted the tires like this for drifting, he prolly dosent car about how long they last

  • was sind das für Felgen?

  • Granted this does NOT look like a good way to stretch a tire. However, I live in Japan and this has been going on for a long time. A lot of the drifters do this to help with clearance issues instead of rolling the fenders. I have Never seen or heard of anyone having problems with this setup. As far as being able to afford the tires, it's not really an issue of being able to afford the tires, it's about being able to afford A LOT of tires. With drifting, why be expensive tires just to burn?

  • started in europe due to legalities that prohibited wide tires.

  • ganstah gangtah !!!!!!!!!!!! biitttcccchhhhhh

  • sick! love it! That ride better be tucking.

  • That is ugly as shit

  • seriously i agree! wtf i'm sorry you cant afford the right size tire. There's such a danger of the bead becoming unseated, and then there goes a 300$ rim, all so you can look cool. Common sense lost this one yet again...

  • They don't feel the tire looks cool stretched it's so they can fit a wider and lower offset wheel and tuck it with out rubbing issues.

Plus the likelihood of that coming unseated is pretty uncommon.

  • People dont stretch tires cause they cant afford "the right" tire size you stupid fuck, they do it for the vip look and better clearance for the fender.

  • anyone who starts a response with stupid fuck honestly loses all credibility, go kick your dog if you need to feel manly or something, look all im saying is that the "VIP" look, or whatever you want to call it makes no fucking sense because you have less contact patch, which defeats the purpose of wider rims. You have no suspension travel either, which sucks balls, you need a little for rough patches. So kindly, go fuck yourself.

  • @iamjohndang vip look wtf

  • @iamjohndang That whole "better clearence" argument is full of holes. If you can't clear your fender then you don't need wider wheels. If you cannot clear your fender then your offset is wrong, your wheels are too wide or your tires are too wide. One, two or all three of the above reasons. Tire stretching is explicitly forbidden by the tire manufacturers.

  • @iamjohndang then why dont they get the right width i have my z with 18x10 and didnt have to stretch them the tires maybe if people knew how to read the offset it wouldnt have this problem

  • @iamjohndang Saw this vid and > I have a honda prelude i got the right tire but it did no clear the fenders . lol wen with pirelis . done deal ;)

  • @iamjohndang Actually, I'm stretching my 225/45/18 and 245/45/18 tires over my new 18x10 and 18x11 wheels because I can't afford new tires for the time being. :/ $1400 into wheels, no money left for tires. >_<

  • @iamjohndang your totally right on that but i was wondering do u know if stretching ur tires effects the ride at all?

  • @Noahskaterat123 Its unsafe, and only one third of the tire surface will actually have normal contact with the road. ALSO ITS RETARDED!

  • @CTEPEOMOHO You obviously don't know what your talking about, there's no evidence of it being "unsafe". Also if you look at stretched tires on lowered vehicles, you will see there is about the same tire contact as a normal passenger car. I'm just gonna go ahead and guess your a hick or someone who likes air-jacked shit.

  • @iamjohndang lol now a days yea i remember helping my uncle stretch a tire back when i was little. only he was doing it cuz he coulnt afford the right one... not tying to say anything against your comment just my 2cent. i know what ur gettin at tho lmao

  • @Suprakidd1 If you do that in the UK you immediately invalidate your car insurance. It means your car is impounded, you pay a fine and storage, then have a court hearing. This results in a criminal conviction, criminal record, £500+ fine and 6 points on your driving licence. (12 to possible ban) If you injure or kill anyone you're looking at 5 years minimum in prison. It is unsafe to do this as it takes the tyre outside the manufacturers safety specifications. Save for the correct sized tyres!

  • Hows about buying the correct size tire for the rim instead??

This will probably handle very poorly on the street.

  • Bahhh, doesn't matter how safe it or or how well it performs. It just has to look totally ghetto stupid.

  • Well it looks stupid too in my eyes.

Guess it's a matter of taste.

If you have taste you'll get a wider tire and your car will look cooler and you'll actually be able to steer it as well.

  • you can steer with stretched tyres...

and you will actually get a more rigid ride when driving, due to less cushion in the sidewall and less body roll. wide tyres are also very expensive and don't look anywhere near as nice.

also, is most european countries, having tyre tread outside the fender is illegal, so if u want wider rims, this is what you do.

  • accually, stretched tires will generally turn slightly better than an unstretched becuase of the rigidity of the sidewall

  • @Pacerace100 Couldn't you just put a larger diameter tire on to give less sidewall to get the same handling effect, but minus the "I bought the wrong tires" look?

  • you could, but i would rather have the stretch, as i hate the massive rims look

  • Is there an actual reason to stretch the tire? Or is it just to get that "smaller tread on a bigger tire" look?

    p.s. Nice Rims

  • In drifting, you need Stiffer sidewalls when you take turns at 80-95mph.

  • lmao stretch some real rims

  • where is there a website for stretched rims?

  • fucking nice rims

  • thats funny i was putting a 235 on a 7 inch

  • thats fukkin sexy as hell!!

  • thats wasnt to you perpetual that was two freak of nature

  • know your stuff before you make bold statements. Plus its just for loooks and 2 this aint rice. Go look at 50mm body kits on hondas now thats rice.

  • IM a certified tire tech i use to work for goodyear and this is the spupidest thing ive ever seen! one curb and that tire comes of the bead and there goes ur fancy rims bud! But nice rims by the way man!!!

  • Dude, i tried to dismount the bead on a stretched tire with the tire completely flat and the valve stem removed. That bead was held on there as solid as any other tire.

I was a "certified" Tire Tech for Tire Barn, does that mean either one of us really knows our shit? We worked for a chain that doesn't require any "certificate", lol.

All i'm saying is that i've never had or heard of anyone having a problem with stretched tires and i've been around the VW scene for many years.

  • Another great way to cleanse the gene pool.

  • one word gay as fuck..ricers go die

  • fuck you go buy a mustang and crash fag tire stretch is ballin specially since this guy is a cress owna

  • why buy a mustang when i have a malibu thad smoke anything you have?

  • 81 by the way so if you say gay go die

  • fuck your malibu its shit rock a proper chevy or get a toyota thatll smoke that heap of yours

  • im guessing you like 4 bangers. when you find one that can beat it give me a call

  • actualy straight 6 mo fucka and my buddys civic will blow ur shitty malibu

  • no because hondas are gay and trust me 1/4 mile no chance in hell?

  • It's not to save money, those deep dish rims are very, very expensive. It's so you can have extremely wide rims on a lowered car and not hit the fenders.

I had to stretch 145s on a 6" wide rim for my Rabbit because it's just that low. The stock tires hit my coil-over and the fender sat on my tire.

There's nothing unsafe with stretching, just hard to tell when you have a low or flat tire.

  • nah i read in a magazine that its unsafe in one way or another. and that it has zero performance gains as well.

  • Because the writer of a magazine doesn't have opinions rather than facts.

There actually is performance gains, it pre loads the sidewall making it stiffer for sharper handling. It would be poor for actual circuit racing, but for drifting, it's great (and i've drifted stretched tires, it feels nice).

  • It's for a meaty look and clearance under the fenders.

  • thats stupid as fuck

  • is this safe? Looks sick..I wanna do that....Is it safe?

  • Why the dead rat at the end? WTF?

  • ratstyle :D

  • gettin a tire that fits isnt the point of this video, they stretch the tyre for the look. the japanese started it, they called it "Hipari"

  • No they didnt start it. No everything is started by the japs.

  • You're right mate! The Germans started it. The Japs copied it.

  • yeah it stared in germany/belgium as a way for car moddifiers to get around local laws on wheel ofset ect the japanese have nothing to do with this.

  • get a tire that fits.

  • haha sick song

  • nice. Cheetah valve FTW.

Fuck fire. Cheetah valves are much better.

  • i'd say just get the correct tire size. The rim guard on the tire is stretched to far to work.

  • i feel like if u hit the curb at the wrong angle.. u blow out the tire.. looks sick thou

  • Daaaaamn!

  • how wide of rim is that? 10?

  • That would be a bitch to hit the curb with those fuckers

  • what's the music in this video ?

  • motion man "beotches"

  • i thought it was Too $hort

  • stretching minimizes sidewall flex. i saw an mr2 push thru a corner with stock sized rims n tires. the tire flexed like jello.

  • Wow those wheels look nice.

  • You Guys like the Deep Rims check out the SERIALNINE page with The Keeplabs/Serialnine Cressida Drifting on Deep 18's. . .

  • damn that rims is nice

  • Ehhh... man I dunno about that. I guess it looks good on some cars...

  • its a euro thing

  • it makes it stiffer and more predictible, plus its good for fitment and looks cool

  • Equips are gangster

  • old skool way!

  • good job keep labs for getting the name up in modified mag :)

  • dammmn! off the chain! _0_

  • nice stretch !!! for what car are those going ? bmw ?

  • that was sweet. what's the song name at the end?

  • those would be work equips 01 5 spoke. dont see those too often, usually seen in the normal 4 spoke star pattern. nice wheels, crazy stretch.

  • read the part on the top right that TELLS you what tire and rim it is. . and all the sizes etc.. .

    G.

  • does anyone know what wheels they are?

  • Bwahahhaa..never thought I would see Ahmed on UTube. Nicely done with that airpig.

  • to the guy that said 225 on 10 isnt a stretch your a moron.

    225mm is around 8.8 inches.

  • boo

  • Nice vid KEEP! buttseckser... cant come up with non-faggoty internet nickname?

  • that's retarded

  • 255 on a 10 isnt a stretch. its actually wider then the rim
