I really love this song, it´s my favourite by Anathema but one thing I can´t understand - could somebody explain the lyrics to me? I can translate them to my language but the sense of this song I don´t understand.

@ParkourMetalPunk Starts off saying that they are separate, and that there is a distance between them. Later in the song, it says that there is no space between them, as if they have been united under the sky.

i ADORE this song! The piano is framtic, chaotic and just awesome. The lyrics are a bit eluvise as to their meaning. The heavy stuff over the top create an equilibrium with the piano and they mesh perfectly.

The voices are perfectly suited to this style and the notes are perfect.

@rodrigofernandezcast I think I have to agree with you on this, but still love the old Anathema. I miss the Liverpool accent in the vocals for some reason.. but on the other hand it wouldn't have given this album the same feeling as it has now. First 'cheerful' and 'lively' album of Anathema, but it has this great almost melancholic sound. love it!

@khyronbradford why would a (artistic) band purposely copy a previous album? that defeats the purpose of growth. the dudes in anathema have changed since alt 4 and therefore wont make the same album, as they are now different people (through personal growth and actual lineup changes)

if you want stuff that sounds like alt 4, go listen to alt 4. thats why they recorded it.

and this song sounds nothing like alt 4. far too fast.

I´ve listening to Anathema since 1995, and I loved all the evolutions of their music untill "A Fine Day To Exit"...and all they albums share a piece of darkness that way very unique. But this new shit is like...I don´t know...like a "shiny" album, and I don´t like it. The splender of Alt. 4 was not in the way of composing or the sound...it was about the whole album and soul itself...soul that Anathema´s trademark untill Judgement or A.F.D.T.E.

@khyronbradford that goes back to what i said. the "soul" of alt 4 was due to who the band was when they made that album; the artists have changed/grown/whatever now, thus their newer stuff sounds way different. if you dont like it thats fine (i myself prefer alt 4 also, but i do like this too) but its pointless to say "PLEASE ANATHEMA DO ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE 4!!!!" because thats simply not going to happen. they moved on from that time in their life, apparently.

@khyronbradford I've been following these guys since late 90s. I liked all their works so far. You're right that they are in an evolution but the world is changing, they're getting oldlder, so their taste of music is changing. they're getting mature obviously. but I think their sound is still good. we wouldn't expect them to do the same music that they've done a decade ago. just enjoy it as it is
