  • That is not Orestes Stasimo that is FRAGMENTS INSTRUMENTEAUX DE CONTRAPOLLINOPOLIS which is Track 2 of the Album MUSIQUE DE GRECQUE ANTIQUE.

This is one of the albums from my teenage years which I still possess and worship!

  • Thank you for this information. I'm happy to learn that ANY significant fragment of written music from classical Greece has survived.

  • @sunsdomain Super. Thanks for your enthusiasm and I'm glad to see so many of us are interested in the re-creation of the music of the ancient past. I must say we have You Tube to thank for opening up the channels of communication and the clips I've seen are really wonderful. Thanks again.

  • wow, intriguing. - is the instrumentation also written in the papyrus?

  • @sunsdomain Thanks for watching! The papyrus is only a fragment with general indications. The interpretation here results from a wide variety of sources and creative guesses of related works. We have the Atrium Musicae de Madrid to thank for this poetic and adventurous interpretation.....
