  • Those two really love having a shower. when ever we give our budgie a shower he dosn't "talk" to us for at least half an hour afterwards.

  • looks like the grey ones trying to dodge the water

  • adorable!

  • I don't think I have ever seen a cockatiel love water so much. xD

  • wooops! looks like the other one hates baths ^^

  • In the hot Summer months I put the nozzel on mist on the garden hose and take the cage out side and hose the cage down first, then mist the birds they love it.

  • freak

  • That's so cute!!!!!!!!!! :D

  • both of my cockatiels just love to be in the shower. Its especially cute when my pearl tries to get in the way of the stream.

  • whenever i try 2 mist my tiel with a spray bottle he always tries 2 run away when he's in his cage!!

any1 have any ideas on how i can teach him 2 like getting misted

P.S: he's a prretty tame bird he loves following me wherever i go

    thnx

  • have you tried filling a plate of water of 2-4inches high and playing him there?

  • I take my tiel into the bathroom and put some water in the bottom of the tub. He always jumps back out at me. =[ What should I do?

  • put your bird with the cage in the bathtub, you tiel doesn't know how water feels.

and take the shower slowley above him ;)

  • same thing happens 2 me?

Have you got a hair water spray bottle? If so, fill that up with warm water and spray the bird like that - mine loves it!

  • mine is like 2 months old or 3 and shedoesnt know how bathe. do you know how i can teach her howto??????

  • Really enjoyed your vid; very creative and helpful. I always knew there was a better way than a spray bottle because they really love getting wet!

  • haha aw. the little grey one doesn't look like he's having too much fun. too cute!

  • What a great idea! How long did it take for them to get in there because mine is so afraid of water and other rooms because he's always in his with the spray bottle for a shower.

  • They have always enjoyed the shower. What you could do is just put a perch in your bathroom and everytime you take a shower put your bird in with you without getting him/her wet. That way your cockatiel can get used to the bathroom and water noise. You can also get your cockatiel used to other rooms by moving their cage around or I just let mine come with me on the shoulder quite frequently.

  • Thanks, I'll try bringing him in the bathroom more and get him a shower perch. I take him in when I "go" to the washroom and he mimics the noise! Wish I could video that somehow!

I believe I just sent you a video of "my lutino tiel Rockey" having his shower in my room.
