LOL that is funny shit, I never knew this was based off of a lollipop. Always wondered how well it played but somehow avoided the Zool titles. Good vid.
Zool 2 looks awesome! I've not seen it run this smooth on actual hardware. I did try to run it via emulation years ago and was put off by the crappy framerate. Hmm.. You just made me wanna buy the Jag...
I hear an off-note in the Jag's bootup (orchestral hit is off by a semitone). Having said that, never heard of the Jag or its games, so it must've been really unpopular. Looks good though.
Zool was a weird game in that it just advertised lollipops, but it was a cool platformer. Never got a chance to play 2, but I still own the first one for my Megadrive.
bascially the atari jaguar wasn't popular because when it came out in 1993 it retailed for $249.00 and was apparently difficult to develop games for mainly due to hardware flaws.. but it did outsell the 3do which was probably due to the fact that the 3do had a retail of around $600
Ah right. Problem is, I've never seen it for retail over here in England, hence the statement. Makes sense though, as I never saw the 3DO either, nor the TurboGrafx. Thanks for clarifying.
cant put my finger on why, but it seems REALLY fast! I think its the jumping that makes it look to fast for my taste, i'd just run straight into some spikes or something ^^ But it looks crisp, I'll give em that, lots of colours :) And for a game thats basicly and advertisment? This looks really nice ^^
I really liked the original Zool, despite it's cheap enemy placement. One of the many great games to come from England, may I add! ;)
I'd like to play Zool 2 sometime, but as far as I know, it only came out on the Amiga, DOS and Jaguar. I don't have either a Amiga or Jaguar, and the laptop I used to run DOS has pretty much bit the dust.
It's a shame Gremlin are now out of business. Most of the team now work under the name "Sumo Digital", but the majority of there games are commissions of SEGA.
ohh right!!

WOW, I still have this game for Jaguar. I think I'll pull it out of the dusty old box and give it a run for old time's sake.
Cool video!

The music and sounds in this game of crazy. The Jaguar was underrated. Too bad I never owned one,and am too lazy to look for one.

So, how's that "worst d-pad of the century"?
Zool 2... The control seemed a bit slidy, and maybe a bit fast, but it was still a blast!

Having some fun with your new Jaguar, eh?
This game looks nice!
I never saw this one before, but I've played the first game on the Mega Drive. From what I remember wasn't an easy game.

You needed to collect the golden ravioli in each level for the proper ending.
