I encourage you to read Romans 9-11, particularly chap 11, for Paul affirms that God has not cast off Israel, but the nation is experiencing a hardening in part until the fullness of the Gentiles come in (Rom 11:25). Later on, James was executed for preaching that his own brother was God incarnate. What kind of evidence would it take to convince you that your own brother is divine?

There was a concept of 2 Messiahs then, a suffering One and a conquering One and this was something they debated and pondered over but could not seem to resolve. I agree that Isaiah 53 is about the Davidic Messiah. My point was that the more the anti-missionaries argue that the idea of the incarnation is un-Jewish, the more they undermine their own argument that the disciples made up or hallucinated the resurrection. Thats not true. Isaiah 53.10 says, yet it pleased Adonai to crush him with illness, to see if he would present himself as a guilt offering. And Isaiah 53.9, He was given a grave amoung the wicked: in his death was with a rich man. It was G-d's plan to have the Messiah die.

NOW the man-god of the christians is claimed to have resurrected the dead and multiplied bread and fish. ALSO he claimed that his believers would do grater works than his. WHERE are the resurrected bodies? Why do christians still need to buy bread? Because those very concrete promises of the christian book are false.

Take a look at this: (Hebrews 5:7) During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and HE WAS HEARD because of his reverent submission.
You're reading into the text stuff that isn't there. Paul is recalling the experience in the garden of Gethsemane, and is aware of Jesus' death on the cross. Read Hebrews 9:11-14

This is not a debate its a schooling.
Of the 3 and a half years Jesus spent in ministry he spent most of His time trying to correct Jewish misinterpretation of the Torah. The gospel Jesus preached was the same gospel the torah proclaimed but the Rabbis could not see it.
The sacrificial service given by God to teach them about the lamb of God that was to come was misunderstood and thus lost its meaning.

Deuteronomy 18:15 is not a referance to jesus. Jesus does not exist anywhere in the Jewiah text. Therefore you cannot cut and paste Hebrew scripture to point to false understanding. We do not get into Heaven by righteous works. NO ONE is righteous in the first place, so how could anything we do be righteous in His eyes? He still loves all of us, though.

I think many Christians think John 3:16 gives them a license to sin but thats because they have never read 1st timothy-Jude which tells us over and over that after we except Christ we must turn away from sin or we are worse off then a non-believer. I'm a Christian and am surounded by really bad Christians that give Christianity a bad name. I think more Christians should read there Bibles and not rely on 1 hour every Sunday to save them. I am now trying to figure out how every religion claims only one God when God in chapter one(Genesis) creates Animals and later makes Man and Woman but then in Gen. chapter 2 Lord God makes Adam then animals and finally woman. This either proves the story is fake or maybe God and Lord God are 2 different Gods. Maybe Lord God is Lucifer, after all hes an A-hole

They would've seen the discrepancy and fixed it if it needed fixing, especially since there were no chapter breaks in those days. Adam and Eve had quite a few children in 900 years. Jesus touched my heart in college. I once was blind, but now I see. The Pharisees and Sadducees knew the Bible too, and Jesus still schooled them.

Jews will never repent, so what is this historical ties Christians and Jews have than? Christians are being led to the slaughterhouse and can't seem to wake up from this Jew induced coma they are in. You are exhibiting a seemingly hateful and disrespectful attitude towards God's chosen people. Whether the Jew's except the messiah or not is up to God and the people he works through. Christians should try and reach out to the Jews as much as possible and be friends with them despite any discordance. Jesus had total discordance with this world, if he adopted your attitude, he would have never died on that tree. He would let us die in our sins and it would not diminish his glory.

St Paul referred to this prophecy when he wrote, Jesus was made a High Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. He brought in the New Testament causing the Old Testament to vanish away. (Hebrews 6, 8).

I encourage you to read Romans 9-11, particularly chap 11, for Paul affirms that God has not cast off Israel, but the nation is experiencing a hardening in part until the fullness of the Gentiles come in (Rom 11:25). God is not through with the Jew. I implore you not to despise God's chosen people (Rom 11:17-22).

@solpapisolmook I've researched Islam. There are a few problems: Muhammad is not of God, and he is not a prophet. His teaching contradicts the teaching of Jesus and His apostles. Jesus is the only fulfillment of the Hebrew Scriptures. Jesus is the only way our sins are forgiven. Jesus is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. No one can go to the Father except through Him.

@solpapisolmook 1. A prophet of God must have a %100 accuracy rate in his predictions. Muhammad did not. He contradicted straightforward teachings from the Hebrew Scriptures. 2. Muhammad did not recognize the death and resurrection of Jesus, as prophesied in the Hebrew Scriptures. Galatians reads that anyone (man or angel) who preaches another Gospel (not recognizing the death and resurrection) shall be eternally condemned. 3. Jesus said, "It is finished." There is no need to add to His words.

Search the Scriptures and see that the Messiah promised to Israel would in fact be divine. (Isaiah 7:14 [compare with Matthew 1:23); 9:6; Psalms 2; 45; 110; Zechariah 12:10).

Numbers reads that God is not a man that He should lie. God doesn't have man's sin nature, but are you saying the ALL POWERFUL YHWH CANNOT take the form of a man if He so chooses? If you think so, reread Genesis 18-19, Genesis 32, and Judges 13 to start. Read also what Jesus has to say about Himself.

Me being Jewish has to agree with the Muslim person. But The Messiah was to save the Jews into a Messianic Age. Jesus was a well trained rabbi who tried to lead the world into the Messianic Age. But he was killed by the Romans before.
There have been many Jews that have almost lead the world into Messianic Age but all failed. Some have even been closer to the Messiah than Jesus.

Remember that the followers of Jesus were also very orthodox Jews. To them, the idea of a crucified Messiah was as incoherent as the idea of a married bachelor. James, the brother of Jesus was a particularly strange case. The guy did not believe in the Messiahship of his brother until after the crucifixion. Later on, James was executed for preaching that his own brother was God incarnate. What kind of evidence would it take to convince you that your own brother is divine?

Praetor Drew - Actually ancient Jewish documents show that there were Rabbis who did believe that Isaiah 53 was "the suffering Messiah" also called "Messiah ben [son of] Joseph." There was a concept of 2 Messiahs then, a suffering One and a conquering One and this was something they debated and pondered over but could not seem to resolve. Christians see these "two" Messiahs as first appearance, and then upon His return. For details, see Rico Cortes vid at The God Channel re Isaiah 53.

I agree that Isaiah 53 is about the Davidic Messiah. My point was that the more the anti-missionaries argue that the idea of the incarnation is un-Jewish, the more they undermine their own argument that the disciples made up or hallucinated the resurrection. The disciples were all strict monotheists, and God had to force the trinity upon them.

The problem with the Tanach is that it doesn't begin on Isaiah 53. Right before that it specifies very well who is the servant:
[49:3] And said unto me, Thou [art] my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. (KJV)
44:21] Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou [art] my servant: I have formed thee; thou [art] my servant: (...). (KJV)

Thats not true. Isaiah 53.10 says, yet it pleased Adonai to crush him with illness, to see if he would present himself as a guilt offering. And Isaiah 53.9, He was given a grave amoung the wicked: in his death was with a rich man. It was G-d's plan to have the Messiah die.

There is not a single New Testament scholar who is not already a committed Muslim who doubts that Jesus was killed by crucifixion. It was not the real christ who was being crucified. It was an image of him. Christ was subsituted and it was made to look real. The book of apocalypse says that christ was looking and laughing at the roman soldiers who were really crucifying him.
Take a look at this: (Hebrews 5:7) During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and HE WAS HEARD because of his reverent submission.
He was heard.

Rav Boteach's claim that the blood of Yeshua atoning for sins creates sinful people does not really even line up with Torah in it's historic sense. What of Yom Kippur, the scapegoat, the blood sprinkled on the Mercy Seat?
Being redeemed and atoned for does not allow one to run around sinning. We must do teshuva (turn away from our sins).

Jesus was a Jew, somehow we turned Him into looking like a gentile! We must remember how He fulfilled the first 4 Feasts of the Lord in His 1st coming: 1. Died as our sacrifical Lamb ON PASSOVER; 2. Was buring ON Unleavened Bread; 3. Rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures ON First Fruits; and Poured out His Spirit ON Pentecost just as predicted. The Jews were evangalized to first, Then to the Greek. We are grafted into the Jews. We must gain God's wisdom through His Word and be ONE in Him!
