they totally screwed up tomb raider with these movies. They took the techno glitz and glam action angle. they should have done the movie more like the game, with classical music, more drama, more sequences of Lara by herself negotiating difficult tomb traps, less winking at the camera type dialogue, etc.

This was just slapped together to make money and not given the treatment it deserved.

Yes, she had special training for the role of portraying Lara in promotional spots for Legend and Anniversary, nothing to do with the TR films. Karima is the seventh promotional model and they all had training of some sort for this role. None of them were in the films. Paramount still aren't willing to go ahead with TR3 anyway, so they definitely aren't training ANYONE for this role yet.
