Rc plane Goldberg Ultimate accident ripping wing off.

I had a Goldberg Ultimate years ago and always thought it would be a really AWESOME mid wing like an Extra but with some really serious rudder/elevator!!

I had a midair a long time ago and lost the bottom wing which had the only ailerons. There was plenty of wing area in the top wing to fly and rudder had plenty of authority to land. Since wing area is suddenly 600 square inches, stalling speed is higher so land faster is the rule. The Ultimate bipe above tip-stalls just before landing so it was going too slow to get a wheel landing. Still a nice save.

Why would you be doing a high speed power dive with an Ultimate? Large surfaces, what did you expect?

stall speed would increade with only bottom wing. i have a great planes riot 3d that i made a monoplane and it flys well but stals quite fast
