@GT4604 It was a freshly graded site, so he could have spun it in even deeper, with two dewars of liquid oxygen on the back. We had two minutes to win a million dollars, so I'll yell to re-task if that's what needs to be done.
Those are "shock diamonds". When a supersonic flow exits a rocket or jet nozzle, the heated gas expands, then over-expands, contracts, bounces, expands, over-expands etc, like an oscialling spring. Whenever the gas 'bounces', it heats, and whenever it overexpands, it cools, causing the bright and dark alternating patterns.
It's a shame more people do not see this kind of video...

Hahaha...the guy driving the truck reminds me of Dick Van Dyke falling all over the place, except that he does it while driving.
Seriously, they should have someone else handle the driving...even if he is the boss.
The flying was awesome, but the driving was hilarious!

Good job.
That guy shouldn't be driving that truck though. Look at the truck. It's been beat to shit. I wouldn't let him be driving around that badass rocket.

The way it looks we might see someone win the Google lunar Xprize soon.
Winning level 2 of the Northrop lunar lander xprize is supposed to demonstrate enough delta V to perform a lunar landing.
Of course making it work in space will be a lot more work then making it work on earth.

Nice! I like the standing waves in the propulsion jet. Does this give any benefit?

Do you really think lunar expeditions outweigh the importance of global expansion and economic reforms?
I didn't think so.

This about creating a new industry that pushes the planet's economy out into the solar system.
