People, this is all in the pussification and socialization of our nation. We must stand up and protect what we know is right. Save the last 50 years of great music and culture before this horrible genre of Gaga, Usher, and Bieber destroy it.
@Bonnman100 I agree 1000% i love the pussification part. It is too late i think. These great artists are on their last legs and there are very few artists that have any staying power. It is probably how my parents felt when i was listening to Ted Nugent at full blast in my bedroom when i was a young teen in 1975.
you say jonas brothers, i say The Rolling Stones
you say justin bieber, i say The Beatles
you say taylor swift, i say guns & roses.
95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop songs over and over. if your one of the 5% left who still listen to real music, thunb this up, then copy and paste it to t least 5 video's. DONT LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK AND ROLL DIE!
@WasAsgard not to be a dick, but the fact that you know all of those names kinda brought you to their level. and btw, if you really want to listen to real music, look up charlie parker, miles davis, pat metheny, paquito d'rivera, arturo sandoval, dizzy gillespy, and ray charles. thats real music.
@WasAsgard Eh, I agree - the classic stuff is awesome - but we can't discount what's going on today - it's not the artists, it's the industry - they just want whatever was successful last year. Daltrey today wouldn't even make it in the first round of American Idol. Sad but that's the way it's going.
@WasAsgard : where do you put the who in your list? i think they would be replacing Rush... Anyway what you said is right and we must be ashamed of it: Im proud to be a part of the 5% of good people^^ LONG LIVE ROCK!
I call this the Who 40 years later and the sound is a lot better than original recordings. I was at two Who concerts at Madison Square Garden and I could swear my hearing loss was due these concerts!!
just my dumb ass opinions below. But i believe that todays kids are too caught up in the Bebbers and Gaga's of the world. Not to bash them because i dont like them. I am sure my parents hated Ted Nugent at volume 10 in my bedroom in 1977. But when i was growing up rock was kind new only 25 yrs old. Now it has morphed in to what todays music is. There are NO great artists out there. Back in the 60's & 70's there were many many great artists. Just look at all the great artists that rose back then
@DarthAverage Your right about that. The main reason is that they will be billionaires by then. With todays technology and every kid wired to their cellphone/Computer dohickys. These artists of today do not need staying power all they need to do is mesmorize 10 million 12 yr olds and BAM! Billions of dollars (see Miley Cyrus). At text here and send there. You do not need to be good just the flavor of the month and your instant billionaire. Thanks for the reply
im getting so confused on the lyric " I fight for my meals". I hear it but my dad told me when it first came out the lyric was "Alphalpha" instead of "I fight" like he was painting a picture of where he was, which makes sense cus he says hes in a field... well what field? And then it would be just a tad odd for him to use fight like that twice... still on the search for the real lyric. i have the album somewhere but i dnt think the lyrics were posted in it haha
@sspaay I was not there, my brother was working and sent me pics of him having a beer with the guys, his mates knows pete townsend. me jelous??, FIKING RIGHT lol

One of the best live bands ever and their concerts were so much fun. The Ox is the best bassist ever, he is not even challenged. Has anyone noticed the bassist for Kings of Leon, you can tell that John was a big influence to him.
Oh My God............ Check out Roger Daltrey... All these years same moves the same way of singing only getting older, his moves are still the same..... Its amazing
best intro ever, best song to get you in the mood. If you consider it was written in the 70's it is at least 40 years ahead of its time. It could be a todays hit..
and why not??? well...people these days do not know what good music is!!

@veckespekke Hahaha sorry about that. I was kind of in a bad mood when i wrote that :D at least i got the point across. I hope to see another of "The Who" quality bands soon, but we seem to be going backwards :( Hahaha that's true. I bet the Csi fans would outnumber the real fans.
@veckespekke OH MY GOD- you said it!!!! I am scared about how bad the music on the radio is nowadays (unless it's an oldies, or old jazz station) BUT there are amazing NEW artists, but you have to find the 'alternative' music stations ,and welp, there aren't too many..... yes, music is NOT at all the same... oh well, I was lucky to see it before it really took a dump- "rock is dead".... maybe it's just asleep? BYE!
@babismatsamakis I disagree 1000% on it being a hit today. It is one of the top five greatest classic rock songs ever written. That is a given. But a being a hit today NFW!. Not on todays radio stations. NO WAY! there is no venue to play this on. There are NO good radio stations that play FM Rock anymore. I have seen great albums recorded in the last five yrs by great classic rock artists that i have never heard on any radio station. eg.. Bob Segers last album Face the nation.
@LesSmith45 Segers Face the Nation album i think is the best he done since strangers in town. It is that good. But the only songs that got any air time was the 2 shit half assed country songs he put on because country is the only venue for him to get any airtime for his new music. I have never heard any of the great songs off that album on any radio station. Too new, for classic rock, not country enough or hip hop rap shit. The great classic rocker are fading away nobody to pick up the torch
best gig of my life was my first one aswell when i was 14 or 13 my sister got me tickets to t in the park for my birthday was soo good im rite at the froont woot woot ! :D
Well they are still drawing the crowds so if isn't singing like he used to then it sure as hell ain't botherin the crowds who go to the Who gigs. Heard them in 2006 and although they can't make some of the notes they are outstanding musicians and my son appreciated them.

@pavilionvhp They're legends, that's right! But in my oppinion they lost a lot a power from their younger days. Now they're just a few guys, don't know when to stop and leave the stage.
at like 1:36 was there a mistake in the music? sounds like they played an extra note by accident, if you play the video from around 1:32, at 1:36 (after he says i don't need to fight) sounds like concert mistake.
OMG, what a great song, and great music isn't it? A classic!

he cant sing it like he used to
crashdumylev 2 years ago

Its the bass if you ask me. No mistake. And even if it is, it is within the right chord so it doesnt sound out of key.
