@zilexx The Qur'an is not speaking to us in scientific explanations, but through human experience - what the eye sees and perceives.
So when there is mention of Judgment Day and the sky being 'torn', well that is how the human eye will see it. But in reality - the sky is not a cloth which can be torn - but it will look like that to the human eye on Judgment Day.
The same is said about this ayah on Dhul-Qarnayn. He saw the sun set in murky water. So Allah depicted to us what he was seeing.
