its difficult for some people..

many professionals can't play by ear, they are professional at playing what is on sheet and being able to learn that in a short period of time. some people have this ability to play by ear. They might not have learnt piano for a very long time, yet they can play by ear better than some who have learned for over 8 years. It is a skill that can be trained, but usually its just certain people who are gifted.

And btw, you can't find the sheet for this, but you can find almost identical sheets for Jacky Cheung's version. Since he plays by ear, his music is more detailed in a way, the sheet music you find out there will be more.. simple.

i agree, i've seen concert pianists/keyboardists only able to play (though very skillfully) music on sheets. they're good at memorizing or sightseeing or being technically gifted/accurate.

i don't rely on sheets so i rely on my (good) memory of the backbone of the song and improvise (and make mistakes haha), so i'll never be able to play a song the same, twice....

as Blargh pointed out, improvisation has to do with creativity and is harder to 'learn'/'practice for'

If you could slow it down a bit to really allow listeners to really appreciate and absorb the music/dynamics of it, then it would help this piece go up a notch. =P.

i have a digital piano, so no need to tune
