RIP Mama you were a source of strength to the girl child and women in general.Years back as a student in the university of Nairobi i failed to attend classes to show my solidarity with you for being denied your righr to bury your husband.Wambui is a national hero and should never be forgotten, and to this reporter stop giving her a mzungu name, Virginia we knew her as Wambui Otieno.

Mama Wambui, I admire the way you lived your life, for urself and not for the anyone else. You stood for what you believed in and all else didn't deter nor hinder you. You were not a hypocrite like most of us. No one should raise a finger to Mbugua, though most likely, Wambui being wise as she was, has taken care of that.Go Well and Rest in Peace.
