What you should find alarming about John Conyers is not the fact that he didn't read the bill; because he actually "did" read the bill.

However, he admitted he was not smart enough to figure out what it had said with 2 Lawyers. Now this could mean 2 things, "Michigan has some really stupid politicians and Lawyers." or "The people writing these bills are making them far too difficult to read."

In my town of 22 to 23 thousand people, there are THREE FULL PAGES of sheriffs auctions for repossessed homes. That is INSANE. The reason unemploment went from 9.5 to 9.4 while we are still shedding jobs is because people can only stay on unemployment insurance for so long.

The 9.4 rate does not cover people who have ran out of time on unemployment checks, people who have stopped looking for work, or people who are part-time employees looking for a full-time job.

Sadly, the "unemployment rate" that is always quoted by the government & media is only the amount of people receiving unemployment checks.

It puts into perspective how many people were self-employed and had actual skills in the past compared to now. Also, people who bought trucks actually had a need for a TRUCK and put the trucks to use. Today people are waiting to be "hired" to input data in a cubicle all day.
