@ManofChrist101 there are many ways to play gospel music but you have to have a starting point. most musicians learn the number system which limits what they can learn to add to the ending of songs
Kevbox, How can you complain when someone is doing something for free out of the goodness of his heart? If you want better than pay for Sam's personalized DVD's like I do. Thanks for all Sam!
Sam is not and never "shows off". He is a true teacher and instructor in every sense of the word and believes in building a solid foundation based upon the actual way the song is written FIRST and then expanding upon that. Bravo to Sam!
Kevbox2008 is wondering why Sam like to refer to himself in the third person.
Additionally, I don't feel like I learned anything. It was like 8 seconds of actual instruction and the rest was Sam talking about how Sam does things and of course showing everyone. I'm not saying you need to spell out every chord. I just suggesting, if you're doing an instructional video, less talking & showing off and more instruction.
It would be good if you put your site name somewhere on this page. It is great for marketing. I've been there of course, but some haven't...and they don't understand the reason why you have this video. Good Posting.
Ya, you should always put it in the video, but don't assume everyone is going to watch you entire video. I normally only watch the end of video tutorials...If I wasn't a suscriber the only way I'd know that you had a website is if you included it in the "information" section in the upper right hand corner. It's really good for marketing.
"United Methanol" sounds like a gassoline company in Ohio

why not just do the left handed run with Ab, C, Db,Eb,F,G,Ab while playing the entire chords for the melody in the right hand?

@Soundofjoy speaking of numbers, you never told me what the walkdown pattern was for black gospel 6/8 songs
ManofChrist101 1 year ago
@ManofChrist101 for me it depends on the song. I don't follow rules others may use since I work of the melody line.
