@OBOGAN I personally thought the concept was awesome. Also the author held some affections for this series since he kept Brenten around to cameo in GITS
Now this is anime! Nowadays it seems that anime shows constitute nothing but inside jokes, pedophile humor, bland plots, etc. 70s to early 90s anime is interesting and the best.
ah i miss the 90's back when Manga was just a bunch of guys with a passion for anime now they were bought out by some yankee company and they became all about buisiness and ripping people off
Okay, genius. First off: this came out in 88' not 86'. Second: This music was made in 91' for the 91' USA release. Maybe you should know what you're talking about before you correct people.
Maybe you should change your tampon and relax there, chief. I had been talking about Project A-ko in another thread and it came out in '86, that's the date that I got stuck in my head. Please forgive my mistake, oh great and mighty nerd.

gotta love celtic frost in the intro, for around 15 years i always wondered who made that song and by chance i found out in a rock bar who were showing manga! ^^
i agree, but you have to look at the total number of episodes created and realize that they clearly made waaaaaay too few of em....( i downloaded the complete series and ovas and said to myself....."that's it?!?!? where's the rest of it?!?!")
This is the rare exception when the US-composed theme song is vastly superior to the original Japanese title song. Catchy too. I haven't heard it since it last aired on the Sci-Fi Channel in the early 90's but as soon as I heard the first two notes it all came flooding back. :-)
Hey, I'd like to ask a general question to any one that might know. When I would rent the original Ghost In The Shell, the very beginning of the video was the MANGA symbol that was on fire in CGI, but they were playing a song that totally sounded like Nine Inch Nails, and it sounded like they were saying "Take It From Me", it was while they were showing clips from many different MANGA Animes. Does any one have any idea what I'm talking about, and know that song??? Tanks.
Was probably The Mad Capsule Markets, Manga Entertainment used some of their songs like Pulse in their adverts for other anime they had the rights to.
Oh My god, thank You thank You, thank You!!!!! This is the song, thank You so very much. Finally I know what that song is, thank You so very Much. Cool, finally I know that song. Thanks Dude, I really appreciate it, finally my search is over. Thanks again, take care, peace.

This is a collection of scenes from different anime for Manga Ent. set to some lame generic metal. Following it is the lame Tank Police opening for the UK market. 1/5 What ever happened to 'hot dance in chery moon'?
I never liked that manga/anime, and all because of the gay looking design of the tanks.

Manga is as valid a name as Anime.
Anime is a made up french word, which essentially means animation.

IMO it sounds much better.

Shodan117 3 years ago
LOL. Manga is JAPANESE COMIC! ANIME IS JAPANESE ANIMATION! It's not made up! LOL. Way to show your ignorance buddy.
Shortwave8300 3 years ago
You idiot.
First of all, anime is a shortened french word for animation typically used in conjunction with Japanese animation.
Manga are traditionally japanese comics; Manga are also a japanese animation distributor.
In japan animation is commonly referred to as "Manga". Only weeaboo fags like yourself refer to manga as anime, as if it's the appropriate term.
Way to not know the fuck what you're talking about, "buddy".
