  • How to u install them. Like do they use a wall outlet? or some fancy power cable? And can u buy them cheap somewhere.

  • @sixtwolobo Just glued them to metal and routed wires through poles. All four LED blocks' power cables converge into one before power adapter and are controlled by a single switch. From Ikea...

  • mount that tv on the wall!

  • HOT FUZZZZZ!!!!!!!!

  • KUUL.....lol

  • @mikapva can you get the leds seperate or do thay come built in to the tv ?

  • How to you sync it to shown content on tv screen then??

  • is it just connected to mains? can you stop it on one colour say blue?

  • How much n how big ?????????

  • How much are the led lights

  • @msasaif 49.99 at Ikea, but they do have discs that are 39.99 and I believe the flexible ones are also 49.99.

  • Nice setup My Friend!!!! i like home cinema ,i have a home cinema with a bar with rgb led light!!! VISIT MY CHANNEL and watch it pls thanks

  • how do u connect the power to light up the LED?

  • @qAyyUm The wires that came with strips are long enough to be run inside the pillars.

  • how do u fix it? connect to what anyway?

  • Nice. U got the round circle things or the stripe things ? And do u turn them off when your watching blu ray movies or u watch with the lights on ? =)

  • My favorite part is 00:24

  • you don't find that detracting when you watch a movie?

  • that mount is bigger than the tv

  • @Ginoattolino Maybe he was being smart and planned ahead if he got a bigger TV

  • are those fuckin dolls on the side lol!!??

  • @soyeldiego86 They are ACTION FIGURES ASS HOLE!!..lol

  • Dont suppose it has a feature when your listening to music it changes color as it goes to the next track?

  • I'm curious, you didn't find the color changes distracting when watching TV?

  • @MyOddThoughts Most of the time I keep it locked on some color.

  • i can think of absolutly no reason for doing this, it doesn't even look good

  • @4ftofflame So your eyes are not strained in a completely black room and wow factor. Check out Philips Ambilight 3 tv's which have it built in and custom colored according to what is displayed on the screen.

  • Hey.. what is that actual name of the light? I cant find it in my search.

  • @flyboy1c

    ikea dioder

  • thumbs up for hot fuzz ;D

  • how do you change color. remote?

  • The controller cycles through the colors randomly, there's no control over them except possibility to lock the lights onto one color.

  • can you get them in homebase

  • i have these under my desk their great

  • Looks brighter than my real ambilight. Dam that sux for me lol

  • lol you now have the ambilight with a much better Television.

    Nice!!

  • Hi, I'm looking at IKEA web site but i just can't find the LED lights that you've bought ! Can you put a picture of the led's that you've installed? I just want to find out how they look like. If you have the reference number of it, it would be great. I really want to get those !!!!

  • they're called DIODER kind of expensive though

  • you can get a knockoff brand on ebay for about 25-30 bucks shipped from Europe, thats how i got mine. It works just as well as the IKEA.

  • @ehsan83 hi where are you from ? im from malaysia and i have stock if you like to purchase.

  • cool...nice to have it going during a party or something:)

  • I really like the border on this TV, clear works great with the lighting. Check out our kits, we sell this same style with remote controls.

  • i love those ligh and they only cost £20 in ikea

  • the woman told me they were £50 for four O_o

  • oh they might be

  • no money for an ambilight ??? noop

  • Ambilight as a feature is not enough to make me buy Philips TV after making that mistake before.

  • fag

  • @81medlok

this has absolutly noting to do with 81medlok having no money:D

look at his tv. i bet its a lot better than yours and if not im sorry.

nobody would buy a new tv if he would have a sony bravia only because of ambilights...

    "noop"

  • please where did u get that? lol i have a sony bravia 52inch and i'd love that!!! awsum bro:)

  • Ikea

  • Sacrux. thats just the point dude! You don't want these lights too bright! This aint a pimped out civic! The lights are used to create a little ambiance and mostly to reduce eye fatigue. I use the same setup on my 50" panny. 3 strips all white. Since my walls are brick color it refelcs a reddish glow. Nice setup dude!

  • Was the just 1 strip or all 4? Hopefully you used a dimmer cause thats week lighting if it was all 4.

  • Comment removed

  • its kinda gay cause the light changes if it was blue it wirbin better

  • You can select which color you want. There are 4 options in the lighting:

    1: Off

    2: On

    3: Cycle through Colors

4: Freeze Color (which means you can select one color you like.)

  • Just attached these behind my wall-mounted 47". Very cool (and bright) whether we're watching a movie or playing the XBox 360.

  • This wont work if your tv is actually mounted on the wall right..?

  • jay, yes it does. mounted or not you can install these behind your set.

  • where do u get those lights?

  • I have these too... Installed them behind my 22" LCD.... Its soo cool when you are playing a game.

Looking for a way to hack so they will display similar colour to the screen.. Similar to XBOX SmartXX but for teh PC.

  • Which ones are better, the strips or the circular dioders?

  • Haven't tried the circular ones, but I'd imagine they would give more spotlightish lighting. I went with strips so that the light would cover wall more evenly. The strips on sides are angled a bit outwards and inner ones are perpendicular to wall.

  • What are these leds called, and how much are they roughly? I'd love them behind my tv on a white wall.

  • They're caller DIODER. It's possivle to have them as strips (pack of 4) or circles (pack of 4). Make sure you get the colour changing ones!

I have the circular ones stuck on the wall behind my Detolf display cabinet and they look awesome there, as it has 4 levels, one light per level. The prices are on the Ikea website. Good luck!

  • Is it possible to have the light remain on one colour?

  • Yes, it has three on-modes: single color, fade to other color and fast switching without fading. Usually I keep it locked to white. Unfortunately the fade from off to on in video was an editing trick.

  • Hmm, it looks pretty cool.

Specially if you're having a party.
