Station 127 (Emergency! station 51) is famous these days, having been used as station 51 in the Emergency! TV series. The most up-to-date engine station 51 had when the show was taken off the air was a 1960s era Ward LaFrance pumper. Station 51 had not existed in the pilot episode of this series, but, Roy and John were included at the old station as paramedics.
Johnny really should've stabalized that guy's neck with a collar before he moved his head off the steering wheel, even IF he thought he might be dead.
Where is the one where they have a fire in the hospital, and they have to get all patients out and the hot water has been shut off all day. Dixie is running around, she's tired, and she s dirty, (sooty)
Wow, guys standing up when a lady enters the room...and the fact that she knew how to take it without feigning insult or even having to comment on it...class...seems like some great but simple things are gone forever...
This is my favorite episode of the series. I sure do miss Bobby Troup and Julie London they were such great actors and a great married couple. Dr. Brackett sure did a superb acting job in this episode. Keep on playing this episode!!! God speed Bobby and Julie!!!
even though Mike was being informative i think it was not so smart of him to tell Dixie that brackett was in an accident and leave it like that...he didn't tell her he's gonna be all right from the looks of the vitals....he just left her hanging! poor Dix! =(
I'm a nurse. I was involved in an accident where a man who was DUI rear-ended me. I was sitting at a light, waiting to turn. He was speeding. When his truck collided with my car, it pinned my rear tires, and pushed me 150 feet. I was 4 months pregnant. The driver wasn't injured, but I wasn't so lucky. I was severely injured, and nearly lost the baby. I still have back problems to this day. The accident was in May 1989.
Now I understand what you said. My dad and my brother are paramedic / firefighters and you can just tell when they saw something just terrible. I don't know what they would do if they were ever involved in something like that.
I loved Julie London. She was a wonderful actress, and she had a beautiful singing voice too! RIP Julie - you and your husband, Bobby Troup are loved and missed very much!
COOL SHOW----THE ACCIDENT PATTERN DID NOT MATCH THOUGH, THE CADDY WOULD BE CRUSHED MORE FOR THE PONTIACS SLAMMED FRONT

I love how every time they show Henry the dog you hear "tuba music" in the background - and they did that in every episode and every scene, too!

This was first shown in January 1977.

Can you imagine how devestating it must feel to survive a car accident when someone else didn't? Especially if you were a doctor!! Poor Brackett!

I am sorry that happened to you and your unborn child, but what does that have to do with what I wrote?
KTAVERILL 2 years ago 3
It's because I can understand what Brackett must have been feeling, since I'm also a medical professional, and was in a serious auto accident.
