I dare say so but it remains that the pilots neglected to monitor their instruments on approach, the most basic thing they could have done. If they had, they would have spotted the airspeed reduction in time to avoid any crash.

it was a professional pilot. the automatic pilot was on when the airplane was landing. the meter counter was defect but the pilot has seen that when the airplane was almost on the ground. the pilot has try to get the nose of the airplane upwards, but it was too late. if the pilot was not a profesional pilot, i know centainly that there are more people dead.

Dependent on the circumstances, the NTSB may have been involved as the Boeing 737 is designed and produced in America

good point. however, since the accident happened on dutch territory, and with a turkish airplane, these countries instances will investigate first. Afterwards, maybe boeing techs will examine things.

Not sure about the NTSB here, since the dutch have a similar authority.

Fairly accurate. It struck tail down with very little forward speed and engines had been shut down by the autopilot after a false radio altimeter readout. Dutch investigators refused to investigate whether a passenger's cell phone call caused the false altimeter signal.
