I downgraded to itunes 7.5 and then reset my ipod with nothing on the screen like you said that's how it would be. But I got an error message after I clicked restore and browsed for my restore file. It said "the ipod 'ipod' could not be restored. An unknown error occurred. (1600)." What do I do?

hey i did what you said but when i got 7.5 it says the ipod can't be loaded because it requires itunes 8.0 or more.
