This is a kind of modern play, as the actor with a half mask is a KABUKI actor. The director of this company, Hidenori Inoue, has been trying to create new style japanese play with mixing traddition and modern pop culture, I guess. His company perfomed Shakespear's "Macbeth'' with metal rock besides this stage.

Are there kabuki theaters in the US that showcase these performances with metal bands or is this just a video edited with footage of the play mixed with metal?
