@CnBCustoms If I remember correctly, right after the cutscene where Organa says, "Help him!" there's an instance where you can either drop off a platform to finish Vader or stay on/walk across the platform and attack the Emperor.

You don't defeat the Empire in any ending, Light side ending - Apprentice "dies" and the Rebels escape and form the Rebel Alliance.

Dark Side ending - You kill Vader, the rebels die and you become the Emperor's new apprentice. Light side is the Canon ending

In this game we have two options. As soon as you get to this part in the gameplay you can choose kill Darth Vader or Kill the Eperor. So i think this is an "alternative" ending. The "real" ending is the one on the video response of voeten.

after you defeat Vader, and you see the clip with the Emperor, after that clip Dart Vader will be on the right and the emperor will be on the left. If you fight and beat Vader it is the evil side ending and if you beat the emperor it is the light side ending. That's how you choose

If you see the PS3 ending you'll understand. Starkiller was hit by the ship and like Vader, he was rebuilt by Palpatine to hunt down the rebels. But the original ending is the light side ending since yeah Vader is alive in "A new hope"
