thanks geni for wasting our time..this was a free website and now after using for some time,on top of it you have a ridiculous interface... you want us to pay $299 to maintain family tree ..u must be kidding bcos online website dont charge for maintaining your own record...i guess we must be paying $1k cheque every month for facebook and $2k for youtube ...i wish and pray that u people go out of business very soon ..geni.com sucks.....
@adityagopineedi - There is no payment required for maintenance. The PRO features are in addition to the free tools that all basic Geni accounts can access. Send us a message if you have further questions.
@adityagopineedi i have geni plus (because i manage a tree with almost 600 profiles) and i don't remember it costing anything close to that. the thing i really don't like is they connect your account to facebook without asking, and if you complain to them, they tell you it is a facebook problem and you need to remove the geni app on FB, when you have no such app added to FB and security settings set high. these sites are so bad these days about sharing databases without asking
I don't like it how when you identify any existing member of your tree in a photo that that photo automatically becomes their profile. Where can I offer feedback for improvements on geni.com?

How do I change my e-mail address? I'm going around in circles with Geni. When I click "Add e-mail" it doesn't accept that address. I try to log in with it and get an error message, and it gives me no option for deleting the address I want to delete. And how do I drop out completely if another family member added me without asking me first?
hbabe15 - You do not delete you're account (I think). Solve you're problem this way: Add a secondary email for you're self. Delte you're primary email-address. Then you have to be invited to Geni by you're dad (He includes you're email address in his three).
I'm up to 1322 names on my tree and still growing fast, I've still got up to 400 names that I can't sort out which tree they suppose to be in or how they are connected to my Forest. But they are 100% family...
Some members of my family have been adding to our family trees for about 3 weeks. We are up to 737 names, and I expect a few 100 more to be added soon, plus later research. But, now we are beginning to see some of the rougher parts of the program. E.g., several of us happened to visit my Grandma at the same time. I took a photo of us. An aunt tagged the event using my photo. Now, I have an event in my Timeline that I cannot edit, and it has no date on it. Now what do I do?
When my relatives complete their part on the tree, I lose control of this part of the tree: I cannot change their pictures anymore, for instance, or the order of the brothers and sisters, and so on. I would like to be the master manager of my own tree, even if others can add to it.
Great, but has anyone figured out how to enter a Gedcom file? I would love to find out who else is searching for my ancestors. This looks like a fantastic concept, if the current researchers can input their full trees and the system can match the connections and notify us to get together. Without Gedcom upload, I don't see the value of this beyond a handful of generations.

go to the Profile page, select Edit Profile, enter your e-mail, click Save & Close, return, click "Delete" on the e-mail you no longer want
