In Saint Row, you`re not force to buy the dildo. And what`s the point to be so serious about games? They are made to be fun, right? I lost interest in GTA since it`s obviously an older generation 3d engine. In Saint Row, objects and characters look realistic compare to the GTA square shape ones. The coop lan mode is fun. Yes, I just said lan which is rare these days. The most impressive thing is the creation of your character. It`s infinite and you can make a really close replica of your face.
GTA san andreas had me parachuting out of airplanes, flying vtol jets, buying clothes, modding cars, and hitting people with purple dildos before saints row even existed.
Saints Row's graphics are closer to the last gen GTA games but I would say that the third is on par with GTA IV's graphics. But the fact of the matter is the graphics can be as good as they like, if the gameplay is shite (which Saints Row & GTA have all got excellent gameplay) then you have a rubbish gameplay. Just take a look at minecraft, that seems to be really popular but it has graphics close to those of the SNES.

Both GTA IV and SR2 are fun. I think GTA IV has better graphics, and SR2 is more fun. For instance, once you beat GTA IV... There's nothing really much more to do than go drinking with Packie, shoot pool with Jacob, and go bowling with Roman. Now, SR2 has tons of stuff to do, and you can throw Pimps in the water and Flip them off. In my OPINION I think SR2 is better than GTA cause more fun.

saints row the third has better graphics features like directx 11 so you cant compare the real graphics. if gta IV was done with directx 11 its gonna be comparable.

@R0flFfofl Saints row the third was a colossal disappointment for me. The city was small and lifeless while GTA V will be 2x bigger than red dead redemption. The story was inferior to previous saints row games,The campaign was unbelievably short.The whole game can be beaten 100% in a few days (including achievements), The activities are not that good and get boring quick. So unless gta V will have worse problems I find that unlikely.

@DarkCloud3000 Dude, gta is fucking awesome. i just don't like GTA4. Saints row is, IMO, just a little better then GTA, the only thing i liked about gta4 was ragdoll. The only things i don't like about saints row 2 are that it gets pretty boring after about 3 hours (same with GTA) SR2's ragdoll sucks major asshole, and that there are no myths like in SA, i spent hourse looking for aliens in area 69 in GTA SA. and you said "face facts." that's your opinion. You like realism, i get it. i don't.

@sh4d0w2k9 Have you ever played a PS2 game? Even Saints Row 1 is better graphics than GTA IV. But i agree, GTA 5 looks awesome. The trailer was a bit borring but the game is going to kick ass. But Saints Row 3 is still better graphics, and how can you compare the graphics in Saints Row 3 with PS2 graphics, when the PS3 can't even run Saints Row 3 maxed out? Don't get me wrong, i played GTA since the first GTA game for PS1, i just don't like GTA IV. San Andreas was the best GTA to date.

@ShyGuyPinoy It's just my opinion because I find Saint's Row actually fun to play. I totally respect all the time, money, and effort Rockstar put into GTA IV, but the whole "realism" just ruined it's most important factor. Saint's Row makes it fun and easy to just go on killing sprees, while in GTA I find myself trying to avoid it because it just ends in me dying very quickly. Like I said, it's all in my opinion. I can totally understand how someone might like GTA better, though.

I prefer a game that doesn't try to be all "boo-hoo gritty realistic" to the point where it's not even fun. I don't know about you, but I don't find having my car spin out after a simple turn and having to deal with the horrible auto aim "fun" at all. GTA also is no where near SR's level of customization. i played saints row for like 2hours and dumped it, it doesn't have that gta class, style or feel to it. it feels like a sheap rip off for dumb kids. nowadays i been playing and modding gta4 on pc in combo with 47inch 3D cinema tv OH MY GOD this is gaming like it should be. cruisin liberty in a bmw B7 alpina or a beatiful mercedes s-class with a little curtis mayfield in the background is just gaming heaven. rockstar games all the way.
