We are considering moving to Seattle from NJ. It was either Seattle or San Diego...and well Seattle just seems like a better fit for us. We will be out there for a visit in Feb. Thanks for this video Dave. It's great!!!!!!
It is a great concise guide...and very informative. I live in Vancouver, love to visit our neighbor city sometime soon. Thank you Dave for this Video.
A mate of mine went on exchange to the US last year, spent that time at uni in Seattle and constantly raves about how awesome it was. I'm pretty keen on going so cheers for this upload.
Thanks for the video! For someone who has never been there, it is nice to see a video like this to get a better idea of what living in Seattle might be like.
Good job on the video! Lived in Seattle for almost 5 years and been away a year this month. Finding myself homesick lately and ready to move back..... when the job market picks back up
Why can't anyone make good video of Seattle? The lighting is always too dull or washed out. That's because most of the time the air is gray, not just the sky. People in Seattle don't tan, they rust.
if i had a choice of any city i could relocate to and have everything i have now. it would be there. close to the sea. close to mountains. perfect temps year round and not nearly as overwhelming as cali
Very, very well done video. My fiancee and I live in Pennsylvania and we spent a week in Seattle for the first time over New Year's earlier this year--fireworks from the Space Needle! We loved it. Oh, and even though it was New Year's, it was sunny for 6 days straight. Unreal LOL. We're going back next month to get married. Love the city...and you covered all the hot spots. :)
@Gegenhall I am originally from Europe and lived in both Chicago AND Seattle, and here is my suggestion, if you're from an EU country, don't even bother coming to the United States of North America. Although I enjoyed my residence in both cities, its not worth the dark side of the USA that you don't see on TV. To answer your question, if you want to be safe/secure, you need a LARGE income to thrive in the USA.
@kingkongrichie thats everywhere honestly though. I live in Florida and I moved to Seattle twice becuase I loved the palce so much, Just my girldfriend thought it would been better to live in florida becuz my mother talked her into moving back down here. :/
@DefenderOfLogic Europe doesn't have a dark side. I'd rather walk down the streets of London and Berlin any minute of the night than the US. But we have a great social structure, and our people are not struggling so hard, they're not demoralized and desperate for money. I prefer to live among human beings, not animals. Which is why I live in Europe!
@Jsouthwell2006...I do love nature.I love peaceful surroundings.that is why i want to leave NYC.I just want to be able to breathe.in NYC time just goes by so fast u can't even smell the rose..@ Aida thank you for the reply.SMH
I'm so jealous.I'm from NYC & I'm truly tired of living here.to dam expensive..I just truly want a piece of mind.is Seattle the place for me?please tell me yes
@crezm1995 i am from vancouver canada but i guess if you like nature then it might be for you, we have nature here to and people seem to like it, but it is pretty expensive here as well
@karandipsohal Seattle is awesome I have lived here all my life and the weather is never extreme, almost always within anywhere from 40 degrese in the winter, to 80 sometimes in the summer. The hottest that I know about that its been here in Seattle was 113 degrese last summer. It is definately a wonderful place to live
That Pink elephant car wash is very close by the travel lodge I stayed at this past week. I laughed when I saw it here. Also they have a troll under a bridge around Stone Ave. N. and a mini Statue of Liberty
I like this guide. Seems very honest and shows the downsides aswell as the upsides.

Seattle, San Francisco and Miami are definitely among my favorite cities because they have so much character without being too spread out, too hurried, too polluted or too cold.

Every place has a dark side. I think I can handle North America's dark side unless it's the boredom of some smaller isolated Canadian cities.
