I just found out about these guys on MTV U channel. They sounded great! I don't think this retro thing is going too far. I think it's right on target. They have their fancy suits and a little bit longer hair, old fashion cameras and sweet innocence faces and hell yeah they are one of the best bands in this century but they are not like The Beatles at all. Not Major label ie: Capitol, V2... The interval in their harmonies is exactly the same as Lennon and McCartney. The strings are a George Martin style arrangement. The reverb is a Please Please me sound and chords that were the same progressions as the early 63-65 Beatles songs. But I fuckin love it.
