I really appreciate that you video both sides of your organs and give us a bit of history on the music and the books. Thanks again for sharing this with us.
The Verbeeck book was arranged by John Cocchi who was with the firm in the 1930's and 40's before moving to Chiappa Ltd when Verbeeck closed in 1948.Marigold is also a Cocchi arrangement for Chiappa.Ltd.
Typical example of the cardboards making the organ alive. Organ sounds much different and old with these books, compared to the new books, which let the organ swing
Absolutely, there's a huge difference between arranging styles over the years. The organ also has some 1950s Chiappa books which are quite different in style again from the 20s Verbeeck and Chiappa music, which is again distinct from the 60s and 70s Prinsen arrangements. All adds variety!
I always enjoyed the sight of old music books and organs, thank you very much.
